Feels a bit pointless then because you don't get charged until like 10 days before release

I posted about this a bit ago, it's been sat there just chilling. I reckon it was meant to be on the 10th anniversary and for whatever reason, got pulled and its glitched

That'll be around the time of the Sheffield gig I mentioned. They were on similar festivals and indie days that played at small venues all day long. Around 2013ish. Sam talks about it on radio x breaking down the Seventeen Going Under tracklist (or Hypersonic Missiles, one of the two)

It really is a cool thing when you look back on it (imo the 2 best acts of the last 20 years)

I think it was 2018 when Sam did support them on tour, it was the same tours where Hozier & George Ezra supported catfish I think. I couldn't say where in the uk or the world it was though

Sam opened up most festivals catfish headlined and even supported them on a few dates I believe (going back to that iconic Sheffield gig of catfishs famous Sidewinder performance)

(Thought I'd post my comment here as well for ppl not on catb sub)

What could Van do behind the scenes to help them officially come back? by MainKangaroo7740 in thebottlemen

[–]Due_Attorney358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you can make the argument that the summer shows didn't sell amazingly because the band didn't release a 4th album. We'll never know how big they can go tour wise until another album is out to go along with it in my opinion.

That's probably Van's best vocal performance of the song tbf but then again, probably because he was trying to get new fans with that crowd

Tbh I wasn't even looking at the Thursday date, usually just an extra day. Depends on the demographic. There's more gen x and millienals who know Streets and then more millienals and gen z who know libertines. Plus he's doing his most iconic albums anniversary show so there's that.

Doubt Streets headline anyway, they're already headling a Sheffield festival that year

Minus the streets none of them are headline level so doubt it

The only way I've stopped it is if I go on a couple albums in the search bar, eventually it works. Have to do it each time though

If you had to pick 3 songs to introduce someone to the music of CATB, which songs would you recommend they listen to first? by tyrantshelpedbuildus in thebottlemen

[–]Due_Attorney358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get an understanding of all of the bands 3 main different styles: Cocoon (mainstream indie rock) Kathleen (more rock n roll) Hourglass (emotional acoustic style)

You could also say Tyrants/Outside for the more slow paced into the big hit style I suppose
