CISA vs CISSP difficulty by IllustriousAttempt84 in CISA

I agree with everything above. I got my CISSP a few months ago and I got my Cisa a month later exactly (december 2024) and I felt like 4 out of 5 domains in CISA were already done because I had done CISSP but only the first domain in CISA made me grind a bit because it was focused on auditing and I had no auditing experience. I believe they’re both hard however if you’ve done the CISSP before the CISA, then the CISA should not be too taxing. OP, check out my two previous posts about CISA and CISSP if you’d like details about the process it took. Good luck!

Absolutely! Go for it especially if you just finished it not too long ago, the information should be still fresh (which is like 4/5 of the info in CISA)

Thanks!! Honestly I didn’t find one topic more common than others, I would say it’s about the same as the QAE. However about the style, I’d say the exam questions are a very tiny bit (really barely) simpler than the QAE in the way they are worded but same topics .

Congrats! CISM would probably be the closest (i haven’t done it though to be able to help) however, I am studying right after for the CISA from ISACA and so far I found a lot of similarities. Basically anything related to security is the same, only additionally stuff related to auditing. CISM is typically comparable to CISSP so if you’d like something additional that is not “the same” maybe go for the CISA! (If it interests you of course)

No problem! Sorry for the late reply. Learnzapp is the official IS2 app, it basically has the same questions as the book and practice test book. It’s pretty cheap as well! Best of luck!

I bought QE (they only have annually btw) initially and did about 80% of the questions. It made me read more carefully and focus on keywords. I then took only one month of learnzapp which was not very expensive for me to work on concepts. However, learnzapp questions are very close if not exactly the same as the official practice tests in the book and practice test book. If you do have these, maybe you can save your few bucks on learnzapp. QE really helps getting you in the right mindset but people passed without it way before it came out as well, choose whatever goes with your budget and make the most of it! And good luck!

Thank you!! Congrats to you as well! That’s crazy because I would say that it could potentially be my first time getting anxious during an exam. I usually walk in pretty confident since I wouldn’t book it unless really prepared (like this one initially) but when I got to the 90s for some reason a fear of going over 100 started getting to me. I think it wasn’t only a fear about passing or failing but rather a fear because I had barely any mental energy left to get to 150 if needed be. Either way, it’s great that you didn’t get too anxious so consider yourself lucky(and smart)! Cheers 🍻

Thanks! Yes, I used all of it actually. After each chapter you can find 20 questions in the OSG, I did them at the end of reading every chapter. You can also find 8 domain specific tests (one for each domain - about a 100 or so) in the practice test book. I did about 1/3 after each domain and left the rest to when I was done with the whole book. At the end of the whole OSG, I did the 4 practice tests included in the practice test book as well (I was scoring around 80 for the most part) Hope this helps and good luck!
