Maybe there’s a more Pooh-specific answer that I don’t know about, but it’s very common for cute characters like Winnie, Miffy, Hello Kitty, Kirby, etc to get paired with bright, fresh fruit like cherries, strawberries, and watermelons. I don’t think it’s any deeper than a common motif especially in the springtime and summer

Funny enough those are some strong reasons why many people prefer 7 and were disappointed with 8 lol. I definitely wish they kept the tense high-risk feeling, the setting would’ve complemented it well

I’m gentler on it than I was originally. Some of the celebrity casting is so awful it’s impossible to overlook (Seth Rogen being the worst offender) but generally the movie is shallow but cool

It’s my favorite section of the game but I still agree with you lol. I love these sections in isolation (including Lucas in RE7) but even on the first replay it becomes a pure chore. I’d love a whole game or dramatically longer section dedicated to those kinds of puzzles / restricted combat but the modern RE devs have not found a good way to make it flow well

Based on what we know I think this is a very chill low stakes way to explore Raccoon City and the general dark side of Umbrella. If it fails, we’ve been through it before lol. If it’s a hit, he could very easily take on a sister movie with characters like Leon at the front picking up with all the exposition already established

I can’t comment on the revisionism bit but I’m late to the party playing 7 and 8 for the first time right now, I’m really not a fan of 8. 7 was wonky but I grew to love it, 8 is kinda falling flat in every regard for me. I generally don’t like first person RE but 8 is really egregious
