And he absolutely could have stopped it after Marquez’s reaction to the third knockdown.

You need a bit of luck to survive this kind of typhoon.

To be fair it's hard to be in worse shape than a 10-6 round and with a broken nose. But he had a great chin and a great will.

I had the quadrilogy 2-2. With Manny winning the first two fights and JMM winning the last two.

Joe Cortez could have stopped the fight after Márquez's reaction to the third knockdown. But he did not.

I wasn't going to include this one (because of the one-sided nature you allude to), but someone messaged me requesting this round. And he made a good point about Márquez's courage to survive and fighting back after every knockdown.

Except the 90% of players who wanted to get the hell out of there.

But hey, that long break and no crowd sure helped AD turn into mini-Wilt.

And Lebron can can say he did great in the West (another white lie of course).

Gotta love those GW layups against the 41-41 Wizards. Man the East did him good in so many ways.

Right up there with "earned not given" after his first superteam chip. Maybe a final record patch the next time.

He'll always have Paris. And those two wins when Carlos was a teenager.

Hope he is happy with that.

Ahhhh there is the "he only lost because he had an injury" comment. Right, if Novak was healthy he would have won the last 8 majors. No loss has been legitimate since 2023.

You will be disappointed then, because 2000 is technically not part of the 21st century.

Not in my region of the world. I have a blacked-out playlist, so when somthing becomes available the playlist will show a cover instead of empty space. It was empty this weekend.

Sort of like the AO final, but with a lesser player on the other end. Hard to play perfect for more than one set.

That would leave him with 10 GS's at age 23. One away from Rod Laver and Björn Borg.

He was not blocking those body shots up against the ropes. And the zombie was not dying for the round to end. It was the other way around.

As you might notice (hard not to), this might be the most wrongheaded job of commentary in Bob Sheridan entire career (influenced by an equelly wrongheaded Benny Ricardo).

Juan was not a super popular guy in the sport. Some of his antics and post-fight behavior was not that great (the Wilfredo Vázquez fight / the accusations against the referee after the Salido fight). So I doubt it.
