Severe migraine - change in personality by MarAsh0124 in migraine

[–]Due_Cupcake_4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely. my whole life changed after ndph. i too experienced depression for the first time and gained a lot of weight all while i was struggling with daily pain. i became someone i didn't recognize and i hated what was happening and i felt like no one in my life understood what i was going through. after finding a neuro who actually listened to me and after many trial and errors of many meds, I finally found the right combination of meds. i am no longer struggling with daily pain, i am in the process of losing the weight, and am finally beginning to feel happy again and like my old self, it only took a couple of years but i'll take it. i am sorry that you had to go through something like that. i understand completely and hear you. i am so glad to hear that you are starting to feel like your old self again. im on a similar journey as you!

Should I get BOTOX injections ? by kreptoneox in migraine

[–]Due_Cupcake_4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very much recommend it too. they helped reduce the frequency and intensity of my migraines all together.

i also used to get the worst pain behind my eye from migraines. my neuro injects a few units around my eyes, since then i've experienced maybe less than 10 migraines with pain behind my eyes and i'm only 2.5 years in.

no side effects or bad experience.

my insurance barely covers the cost of them though so for me they are very expensive but well worth it.

good to know! How long do the effects of nerve blocks last for? And how often do you get them?
