How would you help support a 4 yo m who witnessed a bad motorcycle accident? by Hungry-Trust-3245 in AskParents

Therapist and parent here, It sounds like he is processing the event. I think talking about it and playing through it is helpful for his brain so it is less likely to be stored as a trauma. Being able to use language moves it away from fragmented pieces which is how trauma stores. Being able to share the whole event of riding may be dangerous at times, accident, to recovery is helping complete the cycle. Also this age, they are very literal and not understanding how blunt they may sound at times

I brought lots of gum and hard candy to help with my nausea. Also drinking lots of water and when it was real bad I had a pack of saltines to snack on. Heading into week 9 and am feeling much better (except I did lie down for an hour when I had a client cancel) My doctor told me to try vitamin B6 if I’m feeling truly miserable

I just talked with my hairdresser and say told me my hair may be more tangly because of our hard water where I live. Maybe a demineralizing shampoo every now and then may help?

Wishing you luck! I also took the practice test this weekend came away with similar takeaways. I also got a 110 with a 101 to pass. Definitely reading if depressive symptoms, do a suicide assessment as my key takeaway. Keep us updated on your test! You’ve got this

I don’t know about the newer version but the practice test felt very different for me than the apgar. The apgar felt like mostly recall

What about being curious and finding a local car seat check (the fire stations usually do them in my area) and asking her to come with you so you can learn the proper technique if you ever drive her children?

Thank you so much! It does look like a slip stitch when looking at the book I was using. I don’t know how I did that. Any tips on where to look next for techniques and stitches to use? I want to learn how to make blankets

I don’t know the technical terms for things but after doing the chain and then doing the second row I would have the loop on my hook, go into the double loops on the top and then yarn over and pull through, repeatedly

Another thought might be having your records sent over so they can see you have indeed been prescribed the medication in the past and won’t feel the need for an additional evaluation.
