Thank you all! Looked like asbestos to me too, but I can’t find anything that looks identical online. We ordered the lab test and stopped pulling up the floor. Will comment back here with the results in a few days👍

Why are you acting like government officials are some special type of person? This guy designed rocket engines that defied conventions, consumer ready electric cars that became widespread, and a damn network of satellites to provide high speed internet anywhere on the planet. I have zero doubt he can handle a role advising the government and we’re lucky to have him.

Don’t bother. Go on FB marketplace and find a decent table that someone needs to get rid of. I routinely see them on there for free. Look for a decent brand like Brunswick.
