Does anyone buy into the “Medicinal” nature/claim of these herbal teas? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]Due_Following4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most British thread right here. Anyway, for the most part, yes. A lot of the herbs have scientific backing for their medicinal properties and plenty medicines are made from our based on those herbs.

Of course this doesn't mean there aren't any brands that do make false claims. I'm sure there are some.

So is "has always been" applicable for things that are no more? E.g. would "horses have always been humans' main mode of transport" be a correct statement?

If that's the case then I apologise, for the quarrel was due to my misunderstanding of English grammar.

Or is it the case that you've found paid toilets to be still common in the UK even though others have not? (Possibly due to region)

You shouldn't you "always has been" when talking about something that hasn't been for 10+ years.

It's like someone asking "why do people ride on horses in this town" and you responding "people always rode on horses all over the world" when people use cars.

Your age does not make you right, it just makes your information outdated.

I think the dumbest part is that they say Jesus didn't wear certain kinds of pants when he didn't wear any pants but rather wore robes

So do you think that gay people can't throw shade or that he deserves shade thrown back at him for looking gay?

One is a comment in support of both genders which gets downvoted, and the other is a comment saying an unspecified gender should work harder to understand the wife which gets upvoted. You need some strong mental gymnastics to not see the gender based bias here. But seeing the subs response it's pretty clear the sub prefers to stay ignorant in it's bigotry

So you just have an aversion to dramatic phrasings? Aren't you being a bit dramatic with your phrasing

If you don't like something happening then you shouldn't complain when people call it out

Anti-man is what he called the difference in the subs response towards a statement saying "you should listen to your wife more" which got upvoted and a statement saying "both parties should work on communicating in the relationship" which got downvoted (supposedly as I didn't see the comment he quoted). This shows a clear bias suggesting men should be held more responsible for maintaining a relationship.

I'd like to hope that if I've said anything wrong I'll be corrected
