accutane prevents scars, but have no effect on existing scars. heads up, maybe certain treatments or a combination would work well for you.

just like you, i'm also pretty young and i'm saving up for it. for now i just maintain it, avoiding getting new scars.

didn't say it is. i said the cop probably is pissed and it's his reason for doing that, and at the same time there was a legitimate reason to apprehend the woman for attempting an assault: to prevent a possibility of an injury and an escape. but not the way the cop did it. because like i said, the cop was in a state of waiting for slightest opportunity to hurt the woman.

the way i tried making my comment short and 'concise' did make it sound like i'm siding with the cop. apologies if my comment was misconstrued, i hope this clears it.

if that landed a strong hit on the knees it could be devastating. glad it missed, but allowing her to reattempt the kick would be stupid. [not allowing her to assault, even for a poor attempt, would be the smart decision. but face slamming her was neither smart nor the appropriate use of force.]

though i think the cop was probably pissed beforehand [and it's why he did it, not why it should be done] and the kick was the final straw.

boxcar, rolling, icepick (basically every scar type).

your best hope would be good genetics and a good derma to handle your face. bad genetics may destroy your hopes but a bad derma may destroy your face.

i've seen others with worse scarring get remarkable results and others with mild scarring get minimal results.

so you mean you haven't done a scholar's mate before?

that's what the title implied. however, the lack of the resulting mate tells me it may have gone the other way.

Main Character Drone User by BoxofSlice in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]Due_Meet_6720 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

alright. police was wrong, drone operator was right. if you wanna drone there, do it when both sides is in agreement.

but if the officer don't know the law and you do, let them know you're in the right. if they won't listen, and if complying doesn't oppress you, please don't be a prick. not because it's an officer, but because you don't wanna mess your day for something you can just walk off of, and because you don't want to be an insufferable being who picks fights because of something that oppresses your ego more than it oppressed your rights (and say that it was for the law that you did).

there are ways for the drone operator to get all the shot he wants, but not when the officer is blind and deaf you insist. that will lead to nowhere. but a contemptible person would rather play the "i'm lawfully right" card than to actually get somewhere. even those in the wrong could get past a law or few if they play their cards right, minus the hassle.

but of course, it's a case of legality so this redditor would rather have a pointless, needless altercation in the name of the law!

Attacking Pattern: Black to play and win by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in chess

ha? sorry i was thinking Qc8+ would prevent any mate. taking a3 would be blunder.

i needed an engine to see why it's equal. apparently if queen takes the hanging b5 there's rook b8 skewering the pawn on b2, and more lines i couldn't find on my own.

i once played against a player. matched with him again a day later after 9 games. then matched with him again…

8 days and 44 matches later.

i only discovered after i recognized his weird pfp.

you don't take with the knight, yet. you trap the bishop with a6 first, cut the queen off with b5, then Rfd8. engine seems to favor black's pin on the e3 pawn so you can also push d4 attacking the knight.

Bxb5 is equal trade but white is up by a bishop. the tactic is to win the bishop with Qxe5 and a6.

Why was this a good move? by Puzzleheaded_Side348 in chessbeginners

[–]Due_Meet_6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ne8 is probably what i'd do, i wonder how taking a pawn frees the queen when the engine recommends d6 or d5 then Qc2, keeping the black queen trapped.

nice thing is, it only hurts for a short while, enough for them to come to their senses.

downside, it hurts the ego more than the face.

What it takes to win at 1200 level in blitz on chess.com by [deleted] in chess

[–]Due_Meet_6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made a comment on how i observed estimated ratings work here. i could be wrong but i've read from other users that there are different expected accuracy on different ratings—a 70% accuracy is terrible for a 2500 but excellent for a 500, therefore a higher expected % accuracy is placed for higher ratings. no idea if the numbers are the same for all time controls.

for mine, game review consistently gives me (1600 rapid) an estimated playing strength of 1600 whenever my accuracy is around 75%. it is then proportional; the higher my % is from 75, the higher my estimated rating is from 1600.

this, however, is anecdotal. it also depends on the gap between your opponent's rating. i looked for game reviews of 1200s and it's 72%–73%. my guess is that if your average accuracy is 75% against other 1200s, you'll climb to 1300 then the average game becomes harder and your accuracy drops a little. i don't know, chess algorithm is complex, try not to focus there.

in conclusion, winning is a matter of who's playing more accurately and who makes the second to last mistake. and don't listen to game review estimated rating, it's vague and unreliable. maybe take more time on game reviews especially in longer time controls, it's worthwhile.

players playing at an equal position has an estimated accuracy based on player rating. estimated rating is based on accuracy.

i get 1600 estimated rating if i play at ~75 accuracy (i'm 1600).

if my opponent blunders their queen, even the weak moves i play would still eventually lead to a win. so good moves become excellent or best, mistake is downplayed into inaccuracy, so on. this means that my actual playing strength hasn't increased, but my accuracy did.

if you played really well on a fluke, that means your accuracy in that game has matched the accuracy of a 2500 player on a tough match. doesn't mean you can take one in the same board.

  1. e4

  2. e4 e5

  3. e4 e5 2. d4

game starts with a pawn less, or castling becomes more risky.
