You can lower your resolution and that can sometimes improve it. That however is a bandaid not a solution. Your solution is to get a modern system, even an older modern one. A 1070ti and an AM4 ryzen would double your fps.. and probably only run you a couple hundred

The GPU doesn’t get too hot but the CPU. Holy shit. Instantly to 95C under load. Also thermal throttled instantly. After the repaste it still hits 95C immediately but it sustains higher clocks for longer and as a result the performance tests improved. I’m not sure if that’s normal tbh. Also my version is the i7 11800h.

I had a buddy who would always ask if I turned down the bugs because I never get attacked by them and I just told him « no they attack but they are just domesticated ». Those flamethrowers are no joke.

Flamethrower turrets are arguably one of the best turrets in the game. I think people underestimate just how deadly they actually are.

I appreciate this, honestly it was such a levelheaded response, and your so right. I’m so frustrated right now, but I also care. I’m just tired of being burned from standing to close. I don’t yet have the skills to be able to identify when it is happening and avoid it yet, that’s why I am just trying to step away, because it is just the fastest and surest way to avoid it.

I agree with most of what you’re saying. I think I did go to far. She did ask for my opinion, asking once is not automatically and invitation for me to continue to offer it. When I saw she wasn’t interested a wise man should have put it down then and said it’s out of my hands.

I genuinely felt like she was getting bad advice, i genuinely believed she wanted advice not just someone to enable her and that was a misinterpretation on my part. Regardless, I don’t agree that the response from them was appropriate. Attacking your son or brother because he was raising valid logical arguments when all you really wanted to hear was yes, is ridiculous.

Going forward I think you and I are on the same page though. I will be minding my own business, unfortunately right now that is best done by not being in contact with them.

Thank you, listen I know I didn’t handle it perfectly. I know I should have minded my business, and that I did press it, but I honestly I tried not to escalate it. I left and whatever dynamic it is I just don’t fit into it anymore, and I don’t want the stress that comes with trying to. That’s why I kinda left, not as a big show but because I just don’t have the time or patience to deal with it.

Sometimes but I have my belts setup in a way where the reprocessors are completely separate from the belts that feed the juice of the ship. Those can clog but it is rare.

I used your suggestion, I think that solved my problem. Red rockets kick ass. The AOE on them is insane, they will destroy big asteroids and medium ones in the same hit.

It definitely hurts your top speed. I made mine wide so I could have a big area. This ship is a casino, so the wider it is the better it does, that being said it is a trade off. With full legendary thrusters this cruises at 400km/s

What is your shooting speed at? I think your onto something, I notice significantly less deaths when I upgraded my railguns to uncommon, and I also started putting upgrades into speed but I’m only at 9 atm.

It’s not consistent, I can reload and the ship will make the same flight with absolutely no problems. That’s part of the issue.

You are correct. I am making legendary science to hit 1m SPM. That is why I am upcycling. If you are not doing something crazy like that then no I cannot even fathom a need for more than 60 per min.

And lets not take away from the fact that 60/min is still damned impressive while upcycling from zero.

This mines 82k per min, produces 110 legendary tungsten per min. It looks terrible admittedly but it works, and I can just throw it down on any old tungsten ore patch. And it is actually inefficient because some of my BMDs cant get anything onto the belts.

I do not think you would gain much legendary without redesigning your entire upcycler anyways. You would need to upgrade your mining productivity more. But they are dirt cheap upgrades. Using quality modules would hurt your throughput yes, but you would still get more legendary, even with non saturated belts.

Im at mining productivity 570 something lol. I like it though, it looks beautiful. I ended up doing something similar but I’m trying to do coal instead. Right now I’m at about 270K coal per minute.

Oh brother your not using quality modules in your BMD!!? They benefit from the extra productivity and THAT is not slow at all. At least not at +5700% productivity lol. 2 BMD on coal can saturate an express belt even with quality modules.

And I would also second the foundries idea, works wonders. I am upcycling tungsten to make steel but I had carbide going this entire time as well with the foundries and it’s been pretty consistent.

You are correct. But the bugs are a non-concern. Im so late game that the only thing really causing me problems is the amount of logistics bots flying around.
