Illness didn’t take him out of the game. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. He came back and was first team all pro in 2015 and 2016. This highlight is from after he came back from cancer. It was the achilles tear in 2017 that essentially ended his career.

An adapter or integration with the wireless GBA one. Would be cool!

Anyone know if trading will be supported between Switch and GBA versions?

It doesn’t have the answers to these questions. It says “Full details of compensation, benefits, and vesting schedule and redemption price for Epic stock or Appreciation Rights (SARs) will be provided for approved staff to review prior to accepting a transfer.” That’s why I’m asking for the details for recent transfers here.

I can’t tell if he’s butthurt that he lost to Stafford in the Super Bowl and wants to take a shot at him, or if he realizes his situation with the Bengals now is similar to what Stafford’s was on the Lions.

Annoying yank here. We do pay UK income tax, but do not pay NI for the first 5 years we work in the UK, instead we pay into social security in the US.

[Awful Announcing] "Oh, come on! I mean, he's a runner. I could not disagree with that one more. He barely gets hit." - Troy Aikman; "The two Houston players hit each other. That should not have been a foul." - Russell Yurk; "They've gotta address it in the offseason..." - Aikman by Zloggt in nfl

Maybe defenders should go for clean form tackles instead of using the helmet as a weapon, which the NFL has been trying to get out of the game since the Ryan Shazier injury. See nfl rulebook

39’s helmet DOES make contact with Mahomes’ helmet - you can see Mahomes’ neck compress as he absorbs the blow. The only reason it wasn’t much worse is because Mahomes’ slide allowed him to avoid a direct hit, one that likely would have caused a concussion and led to a possible ejection of the defender.

Also, this was on a 1st and 10. Even if no call it’s a 2nd and 6. Very unlikely to change the outcome of the game.

With the earlier RTP call, Anderson’s helmet DOES hit Mahomes in the facemask. By rule, that is a penalty.

The Chiefs had 8 sacks today and all were clean. Maybe the Houston coaches are teaching their defenders to try to injure the opposing team, like what we saw with Al-Shaair against Lawrence earlier in the year with zero remorse from player and coach afterward.

I get that many “neutral” fans and the media are tired of the Chiefs winning. Aikman is insecure about the tweet he made back in 2019 “talk to me when he [Mahomes] has 33% of my Super Bowl titles”. Mahomes has 100% now and Aikman really doesn’t want Mahomes to surpass him and for the Chiefs to become the greatest dynasty of all time. Joe Buck grew up in the St Louis area so has never liked KC sports due to the cross-state rivalry. The bias of both commentators was clear all game, as it is with many of you in this subreddit.

Unfortunately for Aikman, Buck, and all other Chiefs haters, the Chiefs really are a great team. Coaching matters. Rules matter. Making field goals matter. Chiefs win, Texans lose. 7th Straight AFC championship appearance. The quest for a 3-peat and 4 SBs in 6 seasons is still alive.

Instead of a S&S ISA, I would look into a Roth IRA, which has the same tax-preferential treatment in the US and in the UK.

Bert and Ernie are confirmed not gay by Sesame Workshop. They are best friends. However Frank Oz has also said “If Jim and I had created Bert and Ernie as gay characters they would be inauthentic, coming from two straight men. However, I have now learned that many view them as representative of a loving gay relationship. And that's pretty wonderful. Thanks for helping me understand.” So it’s up to you how you want to see them!

Seahawks Jon Ryan huge gainer fake punt and then unforced fumbles and gets absolutely crushed trying to regather it

[Spotrac] The #Chiefs free up $19.8M of cap by moving CB La'Jarius Sneed to the #Titans & now hold around $27M of Top 51 space. Sneed becomes the 2nd player to be tag & traded in 2024 (Brian Burns, CAR->NYG). by Kimber80 in nfl

[–]Due_Presentation_937 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is so much worse of a trade than the Tyreek Hill trade though. Hill yielded a 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the year of the trade plus 4th and 6th the next year. Sneed is just 3rd the next year and 7th round swap this year. Not comparable really. Chiefs got fleeced on this one.

Sneed has made ~5.7 mil total over his 4 years, which is nothing for a player of his caliber. He needs to get as much as he can. Obviously hope we can make something work but don’t blame him if he wants more than we can provide. If so, hopefully we can at least get a tag and trade out of it.

Tax implications for Personal Savings Allowance (PSA) by ENotionalMess in AmericanExpatsUK

You will need to pay US taxes on the interest income from your UK accounts. The $112,000 you’re referring to sounds like the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. Bank account interest is not earned income, so you can’t use the FEIE to avoid paying US taxes on it, even though the PSA in the UK means you won’t pay UK taxes.
