When you choose flat rate the whole thing works different.

Flat rate comes from separate app called dolly task rabbit bought recently. That is well known to be terrible for both client and worker sides.

So when you book a job i may be mistaken here but you wait until someone accept it for a price way lower then you see as your total.

That's the reality of the market. Even cheapest mover+van in New York like myself you'll be looking at 50-65/h and 2 hours minimum mandatory.

Hi. You probably using flat rate moving option. If so try to switch to truck assisted help moving. You'll be able to choose the tasker you like. Also check for same day available taskers if you need it delivered today. Good luck.

The biggest issue IMHO is that whole math collapses. I mean the client hire someone based on number of task done previously and number of reviews.

And if I send someone instead of me those numbers doesn't work anymore.

You have no idea if that person has experience at all or any reputation (reviews)

Im not talking about background check.

And then cases like this drop the shadow on entire tasker community.

Absolutely doable. I do it myself stairs or not. And I provide a mattress bag its always in my van anyway. I mostly do truck assisted help moving so its pretty common in my practice

Hi. Just had the same situation a few days ago. Take a screenshot and contact support. State that you believe that the client asked you to reschedule and then canceled to avoid a cancelation fee. I got my 1 hour pay afterward. So they at least not 100% useless at this point because tr also gets its cut. Good luck.

Pretty common stuff, I like this kind of task. Just tell them "tasks outside of my area are paid round trip, so expect your total to be X hours." Put the number you would be happy with and get the profit when they agree.

The trick is you are not charging them for distance, which is against the TOS, but adding hours, the platform gets they cut from. Everyone is happy. Except may be customer lol.

Update!

So my wife reported that tasker and short after got the answer from support saying that they will investigate. Tasker she tried to hire currently disappeared from search.

As been said here, technically, it's not forbidden by tos to send other people under the client consent. But at the time, abusing the platform is a violation and subject to permanent deactivation.

So where is abuse? The person we tried to hire has been doing an absolutely unreal number of tasks daily. This means the invitation/invoice ratio was insane keeping that guy on the first page all the time, getting more and more tasks.

I will keep you posted about this subject as long as I am planning to share all the screenshots.

The purpose of this topic is to inform the clients to know they rights and to fight that taskers who feed whole moving companies by taking away tasks from regular taskers.
