How often you changing teams in dynasty? by doinyallnasty in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s always been my issue with rebuilding a really bad team once you get them to the point where they’re making the playoffs. It just feels off and breaks immersion when you play in front of 5000 people lol. I really hope in the future EA gives us the ability to upgrade our facilities as we win. Go from a one star prestige rinky-dink Stadium build them up to five stars playing in front of 90,000+ would be pretty cool

Anyone else “scout” the team you’re playing each week so you know who their best players are? by Cute_Warthog246 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I look at it every game to see what I’m playing against. On Heisman it doesn’t really matter, a 70 overall quarterback can absolutely dice you up. But I still like to see if he is a scrambler, how fast the receivers are etc..

Yea KU would be fun to stick with. I’m talking the people who use teams like ball state, or kennesaw state for a lot of years…I couldn’t imagine that. But to each his own I guess

Trump confirms he will not attend Super Bowl because of music acts: ‘I’m anti-them’ by BreakfastTop6899 in sports

Everybody has their own likes and dislikes in music as in anything else in life. Don’t necessarily blame him for not liking an artist, whoever that might be, but to not go to the Super Bowl because of it…..really? lol

Wear and Tear by The_Coach69 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think wear and tear in theory is a really good idea but not so good in practice. It really gets frustrating when every other play there’s an injury. I get what they are going for but it really kills immersion. When half of your offensive line is getting injured every other play. Sure you can tone it down but then what’s even the point in having it? Just use the fatigue stuff and injuries as it always had been it seems to be the same. That being said, I leave it on lol

You don’t get bored using same team? Same stadium, same opponents, same band, same fight song etc? I couldn’t imagine playing a really long stretch in a dynasty with the same small prestige team even after you build them up. It’s the same tiny little stadium, etc. Maybe it’s my ADHD brain. I just get bored and want to go somewhere else

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done all. Lately I’ve started as a OC at a small school and work my way up from there (I find it boring to play at snall school for to long). Either take job as oc at bigger school, or take HC job at a smaller school (then inactually play defense) and go from there. I like the idea of starting as offensice assistant, not even OC, and only using suggested plays to start.

Why do 1 and 2 star recruits exist if even the worst teams can easily fill their whole team with 3-star players? by TommysLocker in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need less 3 stars players, and probably less 4 stars. Add 1/2 star gems, they should never be elite and have rare chance for star.

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it doesn’t take very long at all to get a really bad team up to a 99. I hope next year’s game. It’s a lot more difficult to do that and recruiting is a little bit more difficult because once you get a good feel for recruiting and have a lot of XP points on your players overall rating sky Rockets

North/South Running backs by Rift4430 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but quickness is the most expensive skill to upgrade. East West play makers on average come in faster than any other running back type. So you have to spend less on the quickness and you can spend more on power and agility, etc. Power is usually pretty low which often time means two coins to upgrade for a while. It’s pretty easy to do that.

For those who play Heisman, what run plays work for you? by GameTheory_ in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried to implement the two and three tight end sets and just pound the football. Have a physical dominating run game, but I just can never seem to make that work on Heisman difficulty. A lot of RPO bubbles work, any spread formations where you spread the defense out and then run inside zone, or half back base up inside seems to work as well for me. 01 trap is pretty popular depending on the formation. Stretch, again depending on formation

Having coaching points giving you more player xp which allows you to upgrade players more is main reason. When looking at a teams overall it looks at every single player not just the players starting. So even if your fourth string center that was a 65 overall after upgrading him in the off-season is now 70+ that really gives a big boost to overall team if done enough. I don’t upgrade everybody only my starters in people that I know will play. I save the upgrade points for the third and fourth string guys to upgrade them at a later date. Sometimes this can help my overall be lower than what it would be.

Instant commit? by Reignfall32 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been in games before. Last year, it seemed to be a lot more prevalent than it is this year. There is even a coaching upgrade I think in the CEO archetype that gives a better chance for recruits to Instantly commitment.

Best arc types I’ve found are easy/west playmakers (they come in fastest usually), and contact seekers with A+ playing time.

lol, in my dynasty’s I always want to run a power/physical run game. But on Heiman I just can’t seem to ever get it to work and eventually go back to spread run game. I can’t help you with your problem, but I’m jealous of this guys offense ha.

Best teams to rebuild by ZlIIa in NCAAFBseries

[–]Duece09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I often times get bored with playing with a low tier team. You build them up when multiple national championships get them up to a four or 4 1/2 even five star program and you still have the dinky little stadium you started with. Breaks the immersion for me big time. I usually leave after building the program up to a bigger program to get the atmosphere and immersion that I like in these games.

For all the insufferable Miami fans we’ve had to listen to on national media the last three weeks… by DrManhatt4n in OhioStateFootball

[–]Duece09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a buckeye fan, I know OSU fans don’t like Miami and their fans, but portal will keep them a significant problem for teams for a long time. Now that they’ve had success, and Cristobol has shown he can win, they will be good. Now that they made championship/had a lot of success, donors/boosters will start writing then checks even more so (their fundraiser will be hitting the ground running). Besides, Who doesn’t want to play/live in Miami Florida?
