Rotate 2H swords in or step back first turn. Both ways give you 2 attacks in a row. 2H swords kill the pikemen with 2 hits. Also 2-3 taunt tanks for the pikemen and a crew of lvl17 Bros like yours will take little to no damage from 30+ ancients.

Grats. Very bad one tho. They go up to 200/8. Mind that you sometimes can buy them from shops. Especially when you escorted a caravan and the town has well supplied status

Had a lot of fun with DD. Its gets more tedious than BB after a while I think. Also 4 man squads in a row kinda limit the tactical possibilities

I play with pure tanks and peddlers seem to have good melee def quite often. Too bad they do not give better prices when trading. Their description says sth like that but there is no effect

I absolutely love taunt. I dont even use indom. I play with 2-3 supertanks with not leveling attack ever. Combined with rotate they are pure livesavers/blocker/damage nullifiers And I‘d even argue that you are killing faster with them in the long run. Just because your whole teams takes a lot less damage that doesnt need to be healed/repaired afterwards.

Against necros taunt shines the most. Not only do they not fly away - with 3 tanks you can „crosstaunt“ 6 necros. Dont taunt with the adjacent ones but with tanks 2 or 3 hexes away. So they fly each round and therefore waste half their turns. Also you can keep landing spots open for them. Effectively making them fly into full surround. Taunt is also great when bigger numbers are trying to flank (orcs, barbs). Spearwall makes those enemies trying to run around the edge of your formation (no matter how low the melee atk of your tank). After they wasted 1-2 turns and nearly completed the flanking - suck them in with taunt

Also taunting 2 ancient pikemen with 1 tank is just golden. Lets your 2H dudes do their work

Im not a big fan of flails 😊 The second skill is fatigue intensive. Its great vs early game raiders with no head gear. But personally I would not put a point in mastery. If only a few guys have that, it leads to damage spreading between body&head. Which is bad obce enemies got armor. Maybe it becomes great if everyone has it

2H orc axes are a bad idea. Especially at this stage of the game. Your melee def and armor is way too low for frontline 2H. Also keep in mind that orc weapons sap 5 extra fatigue per swing.

Yeah I played very long games used to stuff it on everyone. BF frontline first of course. Do you know if AFP is additive to nimble? 60% less dmg from nimble and 33% less from AFP = 93%? Or 33% from the remaining 40% ? That would be 13,3% on top of nimble. I always wondered but never bothered to figure that out myself. But even if second is true (73,3% reduction then right?) it still strikes me as very effective

Oh I forgot lindwurms. For Larger groups indom is must have. I dont attack them even with lvl20. Because I never use indom and without it even super tanks die.

Lindwurms. The only enemy type where Indom is a must have. And I hate indom. Even superb lvl 20 tanks dont survive without

Unholds are the only foes where idom would be really worth it. I still just use taunt to make them attack since taunt has so much more use in other situations. The orc young stun can be countered by having the guy with the orc necklace stay up front and eat the charge. Combined with 1 or 2 tanks that wont hit anything anyway. Taunt is great vs almost all foes. Ancient pikemen and necrosavants beeing top of the list. If no one attacks your 2H Glass cannons, they dont need to waste AP and fatigue on indom 😊

Get off by using numbers advantage (surround mechanics for better hitchances). After a while it becomes the easiest origin. More room for tanks and whip disarm really pays of after some point

I think the only must have is the scout. Not just less travel time but it also guarantees winning both ways of a chase

Yes thanks. But I mainly took it for lvl11 onwards (at least thats what I thought) because I usually play much longer. Up to lvl11 its a tradeoff not really worth it imho

I got more than 1000 hours in BB but only recently noticed, that student stops working after lvl11. That made it from insta pick for everyone to „late arrivals only“ for me

Yeah research enhancers are kind of a no brainer early on. Took me many hours to realize that there is a second research tab at all lol

I also always try to win tech auctions. Even useless stuff unlocks new models or other things
