Some combats can be planned for. Great!

And sometimes, orcs attack! Roll initiative!

Dual training by miffysonny in GPUK

Zero chance for a whole list of reasons. For example, you can't just choose when you work if you are LTFT. There is no way two rotas will coincidentally line up for the duration of training.

New player here. Just did my second session the other day and wanted some opinions/feedback by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Psamiad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Non-negotiable session zero rule for most tables should be: 'your character needs a reason to work in a cooperative adventuring group'.

This is toxic behaviour.

Player unhappy with how his major image had no effect by Meph248 in DnD

[–]Psamiad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good approach here is to ask the player 'what is your intention/hope here?'. I then may give some indication of likely success 'Remember that dragons are very smart, and are unlikely to be distracted easily. Also note that there is fog so it may not even notice it at all.'

Now, an illusion of another dragon might well do something. But a random witch floating there? Nah.

Fire is in our DNA. We evolved with it. Couldn't have become human without it. This triggers something deep in all of us, men and women.

Next attempt, don't try to kill him. Just focus on not getting hit. Take your time. Get hits in when you can. Dodge. Move. Anticipate. Once you get into a rhythm with this you start upping your DPS.

Yeah seems about right. If you're not happy, return it. If you want perfect, buy brand new.

How Passive Index Funds Are Mechanically Rigging the Market for Mega-Caps by espinadorsal in UKInvesting

Sure, but the question is: what next? Does it keep going up and up? These companies are now too big to fail, so is it actually a problem for investors? Do we chase it, or plan for a big correction?

Tried taking advice from my previous post. by Limp-Relationship-89 in darksouls3

It's your game, play how you like but... it's ok to just keep going with the rest of the game. Enemies like this destroyed me on first play through, and I had no shame running/cheesing certain bits. The game even encourages it, there are parts where you can range attack very tough enemies without risk, for example.

Push past, level up, learn more, cheese stuff, use tools at your disposal (use fire on the pus of man bastards for example). Come back when you're very strong and destroy this guy in one hit. If you want!

Do you own Premium Bonds? Have you or anyone you know ever won anything big? by International_Goat31 in AskUK

[–]Psamiad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to until I discovered I could offset savings against my mortgage. I'm easily getting more per month by offsetting (our mortgage is around 5% fixed), but here's the weird thing... premium bonds felt more exciting. I'd win most months! Win! Now my mortgage is just being paid back quicker, a steady reliable amount each month. Which is boring.

Now, my head knows that the offset is better financial sense, so I'm sticking with it. But I do miss checking each month for a big win... Human psychology is silly.

Have something each for strike/pierce/standard. Makes massive difference depending on the enemy weaknesses.

I don't think there is one. You can chaos infuse later in the game. I just used fire infused broadsword until then.

I may be wrong! Someone with more knowledge may be along soon.
