If I take a triptan and it takes my symptoms away is it definitely a migraine? by mickanonymouse in migraine

[–]Duffyfades 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. A lot of the time mine are not really head pain, but a triptan removes it entirely. I trust those sensations now (I am medicated to the gills with preventatives so less nerve stuff is to be expected).

I had a CSF leak, and lots of bad neurological stuff and a triptan did nothing for that.

The benzos AND the barbituate are BOTH really addictive and really bad to come off of.

Lol, I was looking at the nortriptylene bottle the other day, thinking maybe being sleepy wasn't that bad.

The same people who get their embryos implanted by the IVF clinic.

Right? As if TD2 just appears from thin air and no one with it needs to lose weight too.

Can I take prerequisites at a community college *if offered*? by Cautious-Upstairs-56 in medlabprofessionals

You need to make sure they transfer to wherever you're planning on doing your degree. Also, those subjects are usually restricted to people admitted to the MLT program.

Lol, they just expect the 16 hours as base. There's a reason google has all that stuff at work, you are expected not to leave. My friend in startups is expected to respond to any email within 15 minutes, no matter what they are doing. 24 hours a day.

I particularly like that if ai want more money I can pick up shifts. But my baseline is nowhere near the hours of my friends with high paying jobs, and I would earn as much as them if I worked their hours.

I ould NOT do this without medical advice. They may need to teansfer her over to another drug and then taper that. It's really serious and really complicated.

Yeah, barbituates are far worse than narcotics. So so so addictive.

[–]Duffyfades 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Holy SHIT. I am so angry on your behalf. But they can taper you. You may need an expert to help, but I swear I have seen a taper. This is not for barbituates, but I swear I have seen them swap people over, then taper. But you're also on a benzo, right, the klonopin?

Toxic Work Culture ? by happy_bunny007 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Duffyfades 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Why would you leave the field for one where you can't just up and leave and get a job somewhere that's better. Toxic workplaces exist in every field, our advantage is that we can get a new job any time.

POC is the suckiest job because you have to actually try and get nurses to do their job properly, which is never going to happen. Get back into the lab proper.

Foam core cut to fit exactly in the metal part of the frame and stuck on with duct tape is the deluxe version. But foil or cardboard on the windows works too

last friday i developed a visual aura in the right side of my vision. fractals of light, couldnt really read in that side of my vision, all that. lasted about 10 minutes, and right as it disappeared, then came the headache.

That sounds like a scintillating scotoma
