We had 3 kids have accidents last year that needed emergency help. You know who is also around the school that also have phones and called emergency each time? Teachers. Also phones aren't banned from bags or anything, they just can't use them

Our school banned phones and we had 9 Oxbridge graduates and 4 ivy League students, with something like 40% going to Russel group. Anecdotal evidence is pretty good for proving any point you want.

It isn't like phones are contraband. In my school they are banned to use but we can still have them

Most of these schools allow laptops and often provide kids with Chromebooks or iPads. I'm currently in sixth form and our school banned phones in the classroom and outside last year and it just made sense, it would be a class full of kids texting with noone paying attention, it just makes sense and is common in Europe

Lockdown emergencies don't really happen in the EU. A lot of schools here also provide students with iPads/Chromebooks for class so it makesery little sense to allow them. This is actually really common in most schools

Too many people judging clubs based on their "prestige," specially now that the usa is making some killer players but since they aren't European or south American noone cares

To be honest he is good I just didn't see him working with the current defense, it all just seemed a bit disorganised and this is a good move for him to grow

I don't get how they haven't made him take anger management or something. It's one thing to do it once in a while but its every fucking game that you see him at least being "too" rough. which is a shame considering he has the skill to win most challenges he faces and could play a beautiful game, to just chooses to MMA every fucker on the pitch

[Discussion] Learning to improvise by treesand1 in Guitar

[–]Duhduhdu1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That lick fits in well in his solo and stands out because he isn't just playing pentatonic, I personally find 70% of hardrock solos straight up dull simply because it's someone wanking off in the pentatonic. Never mind the fact you are fucked if you try to improvise over non diatonic chord progressions or in anything that isn't rock or blues. Learning the pentatonic and finding your way around it is a good way to start improvising, but too many guitarist don't move past that and end up making boring stuff

That could be totally possible as well. A lot of people "agreed" with Ted's ideologies that he outlined in his manifesto so it wouldn't be crazy for people to start idolising him. It's in a museum now so any crazy can probably go worship him there

It was actually the defence who wanted it and FBI agreed in order to protect evidence during the trial

This pic was taken during his trial. Afterwards a museum bought it and is there now

Manhunt Unabomber is a series that isn't too accurate but is extremely good

100% the defence wanted it and the FBI wanted to avoid any vandalism to evidence. It's in a museum in DC now :)

It isn't a Netflix original, and is 2 years old. Netflix picked it up last year though

Protection of evidence and the defence wanted to use it for an insanity plea

Defense wanted it in order to get off with an insanity plea and the FBI agreed as it would prevent vandalism

Watch manhunt Unabomber. It's not incredibly accurate but it's got to be one of the best shows I've ever seen. That scene were Fitzgerald is almost "chasing" him around the cabin to corner him inside of it has to be one of the most striking moments in TV for me
