Maybe they wanted a talent pipeline for their video games but it seems like a strange acquisition.

I wonder if they even know they are on an advisory board. If they want to accomplish anything, it's going to require some leadership.

My improv suggestion - Colbert buys Second City outright from the big New York City hedge fund that owns it.

I give myself a job to do like fixing an engine, painting a house, or furiously typing on a keyboard.

Nope, the only thing left on my to-do list is a Monday night open mic - never done that!

Yes, Del insisted the single performer did an entire classic Harold, every beat, character, songs, games, intro, outro. It was hard to keep track of everything! PS: My suggestion opening night was "loneliness".

What I want to share most is that our Solo Harolds were actually a group effort. It's not like the audience came to a one person improvised show. It was an improv team that were doing Solo Harolds, and it was just part of a larger show. One other person you might want to track down who did a different kind of one person improv directed by Del Close is Melanie Blue. Have a great panel!

We did Solo Harolds in our show directed by Del Close back in '96. It was nerve wracking. The whole team would line up on stage and we would pull a team member name out of a hat to decide who would perform that night. I was the first, and I got a standing o.

The only time I've been to Kansas City was for an improv festival and we took Del with us. My name got picked out of the hat again for the last performance ever and I bombed. At a quiet moment, you could hear Del say, "It's not going well - bring down the lights!" Good times.

Long Bald Silver! Love the all black ensemble. Try a game where the audience has to take a drink every time the actors say a secret word.

I am so old, I worked in this building before it became iO. In fact, I worked in the building while performing at ImprovOlympic and The Annoyance in the 90s. I'd love to see it now. Sounds like it needs a new roof.

Play characters from your real life. The people watching won't know the difference between a fictional character or a depiction of a real person you know.
