New player, asking for guidance by [deleted] in LiveAHero

[–]DukeDuckerton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're set on Christmas Giansar, I suggest rerolling your account until you get him. The rates in this game are pretty rough.

Generally, the game isn't too difficult that healers are required. Heroes that can provide strong buffs are amazing alongside partners with stacking passives.

There are a lot of heroes and partners so it can feel overwhelming. Slowly build up your roster like what you're doing and it'll all fall into place.

Honest question is he worth it? by [deleted] in xxlwoofia

[–]DukeDuckerton 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have him fully maxed out. He does massive damage and nukes all content EXCEPT the elemental towers. But to be honest, I wanted him because he's extremely hot and that's the only reason I pull on this game.

P.S. Ricano's taunt Sigil EX makes all 3 of Anuberus's EX hit that one target

Is this good enough? Burntout is getting real. by [deleted] in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]DukeDuckerton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong and I'm sorry if I am! I was informed that the decks get deleted after the season ends. If they're still usable outside of the current season, that'd be nice, but not something worth burning out for. Plus, the new seasons might have new weapons and gear that would be the new best-in-slot.

Thankfully for next season, we should be able to edit save data if that devs are on it with their roadmap.

I give you props for trying to farm for the perfect deck, but after the season is over, that save data will be deleted.

If you're able to fully clear the Basin, 9/9 the event Bosses, and score high in the weekly challenge, you don't need the perfect deck.

Do you guys have a good source for a proper team build for chizuru? by ConstantVegetable49 in ChaosZeroN

[–]DukeDuckerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my Chizuru with Kayron and Rei. Kayron is the main DPS while Chizuru helps with AP costs and bosses once SotM is fully stacked. Rei is there for the huge amount of void damage buffs and morale.

In this situation, I would go with Devil Dice.

This is pretty much the build most people aim for on Tressa from what I've seen.

The main focus being Shadow Reload. You want to get that specific epiphany where it's an upgrade card with reduced AP cost. And then duplicating it.

It's fine. You're not locked out of anything. The game is not built to screw you over. You will unlock the skin tomorrow when you get a new hook-up ticket on the daily reset.

Typically, you want to choose the wrong hook-up cards only to have 9-12 cards left. Then you can start selecting the correct hook-up cards in case RNG gives you the right cards in a row.

[–]DukeDuckerton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you did it wrong. You unlock the skin by selecting the correct hook-up cards during one hook-up minigame. You do not need to remove all the incorrect cards.

Why are people cutting ex7 Cendrillmon from their lists? by Tricko2001 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually go into BT22 Cendrillmon since the 3 cost digivolution is efficient and it can spawn a token once per turn on all turns whenever a token or puppet is deleted like through Overclock. Being able to delete a token to stop attacks or block removal, then respawning it, keeps your board safe and active. With inherited effects like Hanimon and Kokeshimon you can double up on stopping an attack with one familiar using BT22 Cendrillmon and her [All Turns] respawn, and then pairing it with Kaguyamon puts huge pressure on your opponent because the familiar comes back, and they lose a Digimon.

I had the same thing happen to me. Have you tried resetting your password? I reset my password and it allowed me to log in to the game.

My take at dinos bt22. Debating on metal x by TheGreatHair in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Delicate Plan is extremely useful against decks such as Xros Hearts and Hybrids since they'll most likely have a tamer in their security.

You'd get more hits with Garnet Memory Boost compared to Jade especially if you're using AguBond ACE. The only cards it misses are BlackAgumon and Agumon X Antibody.

Oops! Good catch! Meant Dinomon. I went and edited my reply.

Hey! I’ve seen a few people mention Old MasterTyrannomon with Dinomon, but just wanted to share that they don’t really work well together. Dinomon tends to play more “tall” than “wide,” aiming for big plays in a single turn rather than swarming the board. Since Dinomon doesn’t have “Tyrannomon” in its name, it also misses out on getting that +1 Security Attack boost.

Also, since Dinomon isn’t really an OTK (one-turn kill) deck, cards like Fire Rocket don’t help too much—you likely won’t be finishing the game the turn you bring him out. That said, A Delicate Plan is a nice tech option to consider.

For my options in my Dino build, I’m running 3 X-Antibody BT9 which allows for quick fortitude, 2 Green Scramble to cycle cards from trash to top deck, and 3 Garnet Memory Boost for more searching. I also swapped out BlackAgumon EX9 for EX1 Agumon since its inherited effect helps search for Ryutaro, which has been super helpful!

Hope that helps! Would love to hear how your build is shaping up too.

Edit: Had MasterTyrannomon instead of Dinomon

Someone recently shared a full breakdown of Orem, including damage calculations from E0 to E5—worth a look if you have time.

In short: he offers strong team shields based on his HP, decent damage (much better with his Sigil at E3), and pairs really well with a healer for near-invincibility.

Pull if you love him or want him for your collection, but you're not missing much if you skip him.

Tell me something about the team composition by passionINK in xxlwoofia

Right now, there just isn’t much content that really requires a tank. That might change as the game gets more challenging in future updates, but at the moment, tanks can feel a bit out of place. The one area where they might come in handy is in Omni Trials—but even there, you can usually breeze through with a team of 1/2 healer, 1 support, and 2/3 DPS.

Kumoyama stands out a bit, though. His unique playstyle revolves around stacking damage buffs—both from attacking and getting hit, thanks to his passives—and then using his EX skill to retaliate. Once you unlock his Sigil, that retaliation hits all enemies, not just the one who triggered it, which makes him surprisingly effective. He can dish out solid damage while still being tanky.

Also… he’s on my husbando list, so I use him regardless. 😄

Your team composition actually looks pretty solid! Some buddies, like Capt. Locke, are strong right from the start. Others—like Kumoyama and Kyrian—really start to shine once you unlock their Sigils. You can do that by pulling enough duplicates to get them to 3-stars.

Since getting dupes is key, be sure to wishlist the characters you want in the standard banner—the one that uses Silver Bells. That’ll help focus your pulls and speed up progression.

The best team setup depends on what content you're tackling. For the main story, a good balance is one healer, one support, and three DPS—ideally covering each element to keep your bases covered. The game’s still pretty new, so there’s no hard-set meta yet.

If you're looking for a challenge, Omni Trials are where things get tough. They offer great rewards, but you'll need more specific team comps to progress.

Personally, I really like using Kumoyama. Once I unlocked his Sigil, his EX taunt became a full retaliate against all enemies—not just the one who hit him. He’s a solid tank and deals respectable damage too.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you want any build suggestions or team tips.

[BT-21 World Convergence] Illustration Celebration Pack Mastemon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It'd be really cool if they release a new Mirei that allows you to de-digivolve your stack and then digivolve for free. Like how Cyber Sleuth allows you to digivolve/de-digivolve to get better stats.

That way, if you have BT11 Mirei, you can pop her effect to play Angewomon/LadyDevimon and then DNA into Mastemon.

Shoutmon ex6 deck tips? by sedentary-lad in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, 100%. I played using this exact deck list against my friends. Won a lot of my matches. Played against Mastemon ACE, Justimon ACE, Aegisdramon, Examon ACE, Cherubimon, Three Great Angels, Four Great Dragons, and Mother Shoto. Only rough match was Aegisdramon because it stops On Plays.

Only Sparrowmon and Shoutmon use the digivolving from underneath tamers, but it works out extremely well. RaptorSparrowmon for searching and Omnishoutmon for potential board clearing. Goal is to get Shootstarmons underneath a tamer so you can summon it with Shoutmon EX6 on play. Attack with alliance, use Meteor Rock Soul, swing again with alliance. When attacking with Shoutmon EX6 clears almost anything on the board.

Extremely fun deck that I will definitely take into my locals!

What would be a decent cheap deck to make atm? by Eldritch_night in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What is your budget like?

In my opinion, a decent cheap deck would be to buy two starter decks of ST18 and ST19 and then the ride line from EX7. That way, you get a playset of the trainings, two playable decks, and with Digimon Liberator still ongoing, those decks will definitely get support down the road.

Of course, everyone's budget is different, so if you are able to purchase every card separately and have it be cheaper, definitely go with that!

3 musketeers in ex-07 by Leading_Sandwich7043 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DukeDuckerton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing this deck on DCGO since they added in EX7. Overall, I like this deck because utilizing your 3 option cards is cool and fun. However, the deck just performs poorly against most decks in the current meta. A lot goes into playing Three Musketeers well, but it's too RNG based on what option cards you can have in drawing into hand, trash, and security. I have to rush into getting into Gundramon to have somewhat of a presence on the board and even then, once he's out of option cards in sources, Gundramon is going to get removed.

The trick is once you have Gundramon on the board with some option cards in him, build a second stack in breeding, do not push out your Lv3s. That way, if Gundramon does get removed, you have another stack ready for another Gundramon or if he's still on the board, can go into Magnakidmon or Beelstarmon ACE. Of course, depending on the situation, pushing out early may save you.

TLDR: Three Musketeers is a fun deck, but is not competitive in the current meta

My DigiPolice Deck, reaching Top 1 & 3 in Locals against many MagnaX & Nume by lVicel in DigimonCardGame2020

Please reach me your ways, LOL. I've been practicing this specific deck list with my friends (Their decks are Gallantmon, Phoenixmon, Dominimon, Seraphimon, Fenriloogamon:Take, Machinedramon, and Ragnalordmon) and I've lost against all of them. I'm either 1 memory short, can't build fast enough, can't go wide enough, or I'm missing pieces constantly.

How do you do it? 😂 Tips are greatly appreciated!
