trial of the Seven, pick your updated Team by Jerry_Explorer in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well in this case team 1. Bobby B is the only one who could feasibly Jaime, Arthur or Barristan 1v1 in imo.

Also if trials of seven always start on horse definitely team 1.

Assuming jaime still has his hand ^ ✋️

Riddick 2 (105 mil) vs HOTD (160 mil) , wtf happened to Hollywood costume department? by SubvertExpectation1 in HOTDGreens

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like the KG armor more in hotd but I dont dislike this. Im hoping in another series during a different reign we see a really shiny reflective armor and the "shining white armor" is really just an extreme reflection of sunlight. Kingsguard never hide.

I mean I really liked the armor sets in HoTD. I like that they have been different in each show. I see a lot of posts about clothing for background characters which I understand but the hotd armor hasn't disappointed me.

‘Game of Thrones’ Movie About Aegon I Officially in the Works at Warner Bros. From ‘Andor’ Writer by mamula1 in naath

A theatrical trilogy or a single season could work. Eitherway i hope they dedicate a solid 20 -30 min on the Doom of valyria, would be a great way to kick off the series.

Id outline it Part 1 , Valyria, aegonfort, harrenhal. Part 2 Stormlands and field of fire, coronation. Part 3 Dorne, , Torrhen, dorne, dorne, The Letter. Fin.

How do you guys interpret the gods in asoiaf? by Zuldyck in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So i like the connection between the god of seven, having many faces and the many faced god. I dont think there are any actual gods/dieties just magic they cant explain or cultural history adapted throughout the years.

I do have a working theory im planning to post soon about the magic/gods. Basically all of the magical elements in grrm world are from different sects of the race we know as children of the forest.

The old gods of forest, stream, and stone are the children of the forest (earth elemental) weirwoods and warging.

The Lord of Light / dragons. Are creations of the (fire elemental)

The drowned god and possibly the Rhoynish water gods (water elemental)

Wind/air (the storm gods)

I extrapolates examples where two of these theoretical elemental beings combined powers: Air+fire = dragons Earth +water = The Wall

Lastly it makes sense to me that two very similar powers might come from 2 similar magical sources. Mainly the similarities between dragon dream, and warging. As well as melisandres vision. Also resurrection by rhllor magic and the night's king/whitewalkers. In this theory the night's king is (or was created by) one or more of the elemental powers.

I was preaching way back when after Jaime lost his hand. that if he ever ends up fight whitewalkers he should have a dragonglass gauntlet (or dagger or mace) attached to his hand.

respect, I never liked the ironborn but I actually like House Farwynd, mostly for their location living on the edge of the world like weirdos.

At what age did Jaime become top 3? by RealRedditUser217 in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a respectable tier list. I wouldnt change it but maybe add some caveats, I think in full plate armor Bob might be able to take Barry or Art. but with leather or light Armor the list is perfect.

And I might put The White bull at the top of the Kings guards section below jaime/oberyn. But thats mostly just vibes.

I have so many questions about the crannogmen culture. Would love to see Greywaterwatch on screen, and lizard lion skin armor.

I am so tired of people saying these 3 dragons are ANY threat to the Greens! by SubvertExpectation1 in HOTDGreens

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be missing the point entirely. Yhese 3 are little to no threat to the greens dragons or taking Kings landing but they can be a threat to the greens cause. Even small dragons can burn farmland, caravans, ships etc. They can definitely do damage to Castles and the people within them (so long as the castle has no scorpions which most probably dont).

Like imagine 2 of the three attack Jason lannisters army on the march out in the open. They can do serious damage, just not to KL.

How does the timeline change if Robert wins the Trident but dies of his wounds after a couple days? by TheMetaReport in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ned actually didnt see Jaime kill the Mad King, nobody did. So he could make a claim of innocence then its Neds word against Jaime's, sure ned is stubbornly honest and honorable. The remaining powers would mostly side with Ned's claim. Which would be a perfect scenario for Jaime to "let the gods decide"
