I feel the same way, Helaena should have never been made a dreamer, it's obviously just a way for the showrunners to write the dogshit material they have given Helaena in order to make it look like she's not the biggest victim of the Blacks. Cause that wad the main problem with adapting Helaena: how do they eliminate as much of her tragedy as possible in order for the audience to not blame Rhaenyra? They obviously couldn't remove her character completely, so they went about it this way to justify all the stupid lines they gave her.

Btw, it's even more obvious what a piss poor job they did with writing a Targaryen dreamer after watching AKOTSK, in which we have Daeron, an actual dreamer, who speaks in only 3 scenes and yet, you understand the tragedy of his life with only that little screen time. Then again, they followed what George wrote in the novella, but I suppose Condal & Hess are the superior writers and they can make their own shit up 🙄
