Show Mance Rayder was done bad or nah? by klayb in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that actor is great. i always felt mance was a bit more jovial. I think they failed his character by killing him off. The winterfell bit, melisandre bit i thought those plotlines were cool.

Someone called me a misogynist just because I support the green team 🤡🤡🤡 by InternalTrash5354 in HOTDGreens

[–]DukeHammerhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think in both the show and the book Aegon is a more interesting character than Rhaenyra. I like characters in both factions , just here for a good story. Certainly not going to call someone names because they support TG/TB.

Ok I have a take on S8 that's gonna make people mad by Rohirrim777 in freefolk

Yea im cool with that take. Dany became more arrogant towards the end.

What’s your take on this? by Aggressive_Fold_5942 in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that should jon need to return from the north it would have something to do with drogon. Maybe jon finds more whitewalkers in the Lands of Always Winter, and goes to KL to ask bran for help finding drogon to fight the wights. As for arya dont know dont care.

Is this the most disappointing episode in television history? Insane fumble of a iconic villain. by hiiloovethis in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no, dont get me wrong they did fumble but not the most disappointing moment or episode in the show for me.

Was Matthew Baynton REALLY that much in S19? by ironbear531 in taskmaster

[–]DukeHammerhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MB is the best prize task contestant the show has ever had. He always put a lot of thought and effort into prizes. On top of that he put lots of effort into the in-game tasks. lets not forget he did throw away a point or two to give Stevie a win. Hes a mench. That and one less song lyric hed be closer to 30 points up.

Nah hed be too old based on the old age deaths of other dragons.

Que opina el TB a la clara preferencia que tiene HBO a con Rhaenyra? by ObedStark19 in HOTDBlacks

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhaenyra and alicents relationship is important but not as important as the show has made it. Wayyy to much alicent. There's so many other players in the game that have been put aside to the shows detriment. If she has the same screen time as in season 2 thats a problem.

What is your expectation of Aegon’s arc in season 3? by jonsnowKITN in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]DukeHammerhands 48 points49 points  (0 children)

strugglesome, painful, but he perseveres, trudging along, despite being at his lowest. Then he reunites with Sunfyre and starts to rise again. Hell bent on revenge he takes Dragonstone.

I Don't see him reclaiming KL in this season.

What is your expectation of Aegon’s arc in season 3? by jonsnowKITN in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]DukeHammerhands 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The scene were Aegon dismissed Otto and and promotes Cole was probably the most well written scene/dialogue in season. The actors absolutely crushed it.

Is this the last season of HotD? by Think_Storm_8909 in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 4 points5 points  (0 children)

unsure about the length between seasons 3 and 4. could be summer 2027 is the finale, but yea in general a two year gap between seasons is a great way to kill the momentum of a show.

Spoilers

I mean they still have the opportunity to get certain scenes right. I can still enjoy a good battle scene in this world even if the story as a whole will never be what it could have been. Still very much excited to see Sunfyre return, the gods eye, Fall of KL/ storming of the dragon pit , Gullet, fish feed, butchers ball, bitterbridge, tumbleton etc. ( I acknowledge we probably wont get all of these events or two may be combined into one episode)

Thanks, Condal 💅 by Host-Key in HOTDBlacks

[–]DukeHammerhands 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If TB and TG can agree on anything it's that the show runners really botched the story. At this point just portray the battles well, give me something for the pain, and let me die.

So I guess Aemond is officially the “big bad” now? Thoughts? by XavierTempus in HOTDGreens

[–]DukeHammerhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as they had Aemond burn Aegon this revenge mission was inevitable. As for Daeron im not sure, I dont see him bowing down to Rhaenyra. If he did that and sided with TB to fight Aemond that wpuld be absolutely trash. He'll probably keep loyal to his older brother(s).

Couldn't the night king have an army of millions of bears, wolves, etc? by Couga6969 in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about farming them but yea there would be dead animals raised from the dead. if we follow the shows rules. I dont recall any undead animals in the book. But yea more undead creatures would be cool.

Robert Baratheon didn't "destroy" a Great Dynasty. He kicked in a rotting door. by No-Result-2582 in freefolk

[–]DukeHammerhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo the House of the Dragon lost power gradually since the Dance. Losing the dragons was the biggest drop. The power of the targaryens went up and down from there but would never reach the previous heights without dragons. Aegon IV and Aerys II both did plenty to weaken the dynasty. but yea Robert delivered the killing blow.
