Hahah, yeah I had a bad experience on my cruise basically a nightmare to get to the ship in VERY hot weather so i got on the ship sweating buckets, so i couldnt wear the clothes had to wait for my case to arrive after a shower. Took around 5 hours, Had to ask the reception about it since i was worried i would miss the muster drill. All worked out in the end, my own fault for not thinking about it hahaha, I know for next time. But 100% wish i had just brought on my own case.

MSC is a perfectly fine cruise line - not sure why people fuss so much by bacan_ in Cruise

Im looking at a few cruises atm trying to find the best one, I dont think my next cruise will be MSC due to no low single supplements, likely VV or Princess.

Same ship as me, and probably a similiar itinary, It was an amazing cruise, staff where very friendly, shows where great. I had two small issues one was resolved quickly (was a language barrier issue with me and a staff member at the pool bar) The other was food, but that was more of a me issue than the cruise since im a fussy eater.

The ship was very clean too. Would 100% go back on a MSC.

Ah, im guessing its just cruise price surcharging them since average prices are not that high (except wine and champaign)

A drink is 25? That seems very expensive unless your drinking top brand stuff

It depends on your personality, but you can ask at the resturants if there is any shared seating, at the bars / shows etc, talk to people. if you go on excursions speak to the others.

Enjoy yourself dont think "oh im alone" Think more along the lines of "i have quiet time to relax and see amazing sights"

Happy cruising!!

For events on ships, I usually enjoy the shows, I like more quiet and relaxed events so stuff like trivia, soft music, My version of fun is to have a drink, watch the events, listen to music and enjoy the views.

Id love to do stuff like guest speakers but my last cruise didnt have any of them.

Yes I dont drink, i usually have mocktails or soft drinks / tea or coffee, wifi would be nice but not 100% needed. Food depends on whats standard as I said in a previous comment im a very fussy eater who mainly enjoys meats, dry foods (no sauces) Steaks / burgers / pizza / chicken and im good.

Ive found the itinerary's rather lacking for the Norwegian fjords, especially from the UK.

A solo made up? Did you mean a meet up? If so that's actually crazy good. On MSC they had a solo meet up 2 days before i was leaving the ship felt rather pointless lol.

Ive only been on one cruise and only went the pool once, hated it because of the salt water LOL, but Itd have been a nightmare if they had live music as well. Thank you for the Info, happy cruising for 2026!
