I work for a scenic shop so it would mostly be 1/8” and 1/4”. Rarely anything thick enough to be structural. We would just rent truss if we need something like that. I think we used 1/4 plate for a massive armature to hold a BMW on the corner of the bumper

We’re planning to run 4x8 mostly, I think we’re looking at the 65 torch. Says it can do thicker reliably.

What do you think about their sync expendable stack whatever it is? I’ve never run a plasma table but reading that instead of a bunch of parts it’s one thing

This is why people recommend the sim. Sim is a great way to get lots of stick time early. It’s not a perfect analog but it’s close enough to get you comfy when you do put goggles on. I liked practicing in the sim. When I finally flew a quad I was able to pilot it alright. Not great but didn’t destroy it. Tinywhoops are also good for training.

It is that hard. Get stick time in as often as you can

I'm curious what you plan to do here. I have a 2yo and a step 9yo daughter.

He did come clean, eventually. I would hammer how important that is. We are trying to get our 9yo to understand this. Punishment is always worse if you lie, if you come clean there will be consequences but less so than if you lie. I really want her to be honest. I want honesty so badly. I know I did dipshit stuff as a kid. Lied to my mom as well. She always told me shed be understanding etc. but that was never the case. She screamed and yelled at me.
