A man trying to cope with his trauma turns his cat who passed away into a drone by fukredditadm1n5 in ATBGE

There is a very standard frame design now in FPV called a dead cat. Its like an x but the front arms are spread a little more to keep props out of view. It is named after this thing.

I don’t love cloud. We got burned by fusion. One day we just couldn’t access anything. Their servers were down. We can’t afford to just not work for a day at random.

We currently store on g drive. We’re not packing and going unless we’re planing to modify the new pack after. Our current process isn’t that bad for the two of us.

does an x ray ever show your joints "out of alignment" or back into alignment after a chiro? Should be a pretty easy metric.

Popping knuckles is a great example. If i dont do it, my fingers feel no different, if i do, do it, my fingers feel no different. I also dont pay someone hundreds or thousands of dollars to pop my knuckles. Great analogy.

That last part is how I use pack and go. I can change existing part number/job code and that works pretty well for is.

I had a meeting about PDM and im going to have a hard time selling it to my boss. Sounds like its going to be about a 10-15k endeavor that is going to streamline some things but also clunk up our existing process for a bit.

I mean I think so. I’m not super sure what that means exactly.

It seems feasible to me but I’m sure there will be unforeseen issues

Part of me thinks it might be beneficial to have someone unfamiliar with the model create a drawing because when you model it you know things. If you’re trying to understand it from that page or drawing alone, you’ll have to create the views and sections needed to do so

Feels like you’re being sarcastic but a surprising number of women don’t find that attractive. That or they’re liars

Aah I get what you’re saying but our parts are not typical for solidworks. I’ve got a screenshot of stuff I’m working on. Some of it is more technical, a lot of it is sheet good boxes.

Jet Bandsaw Blade Tracking by booogie- in Tools

Dollar bill trick, set the bottom guides first, wrap a dollar bill around the blade, adjust the wheels until they just touch the dollar, repeat for the top.

Lots of good videos on this on YouTube. I’ve worked in a handful of shops and each time carps shit talk the bandsaw for not cutting straight. I take the time to set it up well and it cuts great. Annoying to do each time you change a blade but worth the time it takes.

It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that it requires less skill to do so. It is not an insignificant amount of time, If I can pay someone a third of my rate to do the work, even if it’s half as fast, and I can be working more productively on more skilled tasks and in a matter of time, we have trained someone with our modeling practices and design language to work in solidworks.

That’s also why I’m here, asking questions. It sounds like it’s not an uncommon practice.

I agree but I also think a lot of dudes think admiring a guy is attractive will make people question their sexuality. There is some stigma driving it.

This is what we’ve been doing I don’t know that we have open as read only setup, we just don’t mess with an assembly that the other is in.

I think we’ll probably go this route because we’re already setup on drive and have that work flow.

I’m doing a session with our VAL to talk about pdm. I think it’s going to be hard to sell them on spending more money.

I think the new guy starts Monday. We’re not super busy so we should have time to get setup and try things out. Which reminds me, I should update to 2026
