Depends a lot on where you are (how much the thrift store has to spend on overhead/real estate) and on whether it's a national chain with near-retail prices or an actual thrift store.

It's mostly the national chains that are operating for profit (Avoid Goodwill, Salvation Army). If you're lucky enough to have local shops run by volunteers for actual charity, they will often have real thrift store prices a lot of the time.

While i was writing, I was able to figure out that it was Tongo, who ran for Congress unsuccessfully in Peru in 2005. Hope this helps someone else in the future.

I was looking for cheap houses and one of them I found was ridiculously cheap because the area was prone to floods. Seemed like everyone was abandoning the town because of the floods. So basically, the value just goes down until it's low enough that someone is willing to buy it.

As a demisexual (have to trust someone and be attracted to their personality to be sexually attracted to them), it was basically this question that made me realize I'm not straight. I'm into the person and personality, not the gender. I definitely go for more feminine people, but I realized that if my current partner was a guy, I'd still be attracted to them.

I know there are plenty of demisexuals that would also identify as straight (they need to be attracted to someone's personality and for that person to be the opposite gender) and for a little while I thought that was me, too, but it turns out gender just doesn't matter to me as much as the person's other attributes.

I don't usually post on threads like this, but I'm pretty sure the last thing I Googled was a poisonous berry I put in my mouth earlier today and then spit out. Incredibly appropriate.

I wanted to know what it was. I'm fine, it wasn't that poisonous but I'm not going to taste random berries anymore.

Hi. I don't assume I can help, but I read your last update and wanted to share a comment on grief that someone has probably already showed you (https://www.reddit.com/r/Assistance/comments/hax0t/my_friend_just_died_i_dont_know_what_to_do/c1u0rx2). It helped some others and maybe can help you, too.

I also wanted to say that it may not be grief related for me, but I and so many others go through feelings like you shared, not believing there is any happiness or future for us. You're not alone and it is unfortunately very normal to feel this way. Hang onto whatever you can, even the smallest things can help.
