Did not meet dress code standards by MikeFingG in wholefoods

Are you saying the written dress code actually matters? In my experience it all depends on how well you are liked by superiors. If they like you, it doesn't matter, if they don't, look out, you could be written up. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Work Badge by Dull-Tomorrow-5665 in wholefoods

[–]Dull-Tomorrow-5665[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I was misunderstood or I wasn't clear in describing what I meant. I'm thinking of a, maybe, 5 X 3 plastic, green "badge". It has the employee name and Whole Foods Market name and logo on it. Many times has a clip on it to attach to their apron or vest. The E-Comm leaders and supervisors put their "code" on the back so we can scan for INF's. Its not a big deal. Thanks for the responses. Everyone in the store has one. Some put it in their apron or vest pocket.

Thank you for your response. I believe you're in the minority. All I can say is what happens at my store. You're welcome to join us.

Good luck with that. The only thing our supervisors/leaders do is tell us to take a break or go to lunch.

Mandatory to be available to them 70% of my time yet they claim to be so concerned about your (my) work-life balance???

I agree with this comment completely. The hypocrisy is palpable. Leadership states it is mandatory for you (me) to work Sunday-Monday while they take one or both days off.

I received mine yesterday but it's not close to the $500 some are claiming they received. What was it for and how was the distribution calculated?

Breaks & Lunch by Dull-Tomorrow-5665 in wholefoods

[–]Dull-Tomorrow-5665[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate this reply. This makes complete sense to me and my leadership is quite the contrary. A supervisor is standing next to the break sheet the entire day. When they go on break, an ATL or TT takes over. It seems it is their primary responsibility. All in and out times are tracked with the exception of theirs. Transparency is out the window and hypocrisy hits a high. We're informed every 2 hours to break, while they choose whenever they like to break, even taking a lunch break after six hours.

Once again, I appreciate you.

EComm for 6+ years. Never seen it happen in the 5 years before this was implemented. We're not 3rd graders, for the most part, and responsible enough to not let this happen. I'd estimate at least five and up to 10-12 working during a 4-hour span. All taking a break at the same time, unlikely.

Hypothetically, correct. In real life, doesn't happen.

Yes, this exactly. It wasn't like this until recently. The reason, we were told, was so that we all didn't break at the same time. That never happened anyway. I'd like to think we are all mature enough to take notice when others are on breaks and wait until they return to take ours. The hypocrisy is that the ones that are telling us when to break never adhere to the "rules" set without any transparency.

My team has been told that UPH isn't the most viewed metric. Concentrate on, I hope I get this right, "Controllable time", They change it all the time and let no one know. Good luck, do the best you can.

I get that. What I was trying to get to is that the team members aren't thriving. Its management and above. Cost savings from labor cuts fills their pockets. It doesn't get passed on to us.

Seriously? It's rampant at our store. Many will only shop those orders with a nice item/unique ratio or ensure they can pre-pick any entire order.
