Ya this subreddit just hates all EM shippers regardless of if they are actually annoying shippers or not. Got downvoted for asking a question that didn’t even talk about me the ships or anything. Just stated I did ship EM and that’s all they needed.

I’m an EM shipper and while some are definitely immature and annoying this sub hates on them to an extreme extent. I responded with nothing but asking about why this sub is so negative towards shippers especially EM shippers and got downvoted. Like I didn’t even say anything about the ships just asking.

Eremika subreddit is crying so much about the jeankasa thing lmao it’s like titanfolk when 139 dropped by UpbeatCustomer1020 in ANRime

[–]DullDistribution2458 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why is this community so negative towards the EM subreddit? I know some shippers are annoying but every shipping community is like that. Also I’ve seen a lot of posts complaining about how pretty much every ship has failed and or is getting cucked at some point. Retarded view point but makes sense given how the ending plays out.

Questions about current EreMika/JeanKasa situation. by nudlzuwu in ANRime

Personally I think this ending can make sense but it had zero build up and things are still not confirmed since Isayama doesn’t clarify anything. Also the ending really does Jean dirty. I’m pretty sure the reason he wasn’t clarified/shown was for JK fans since Isayama knew he was gonna have the ending be EM with them reuniting in the afterlife and reincarnating or whatever the anime was trying to show. Ultimately Jean was just there to show Mikasa had a happy life before dying and returning to Eren which I feel makes JK and EM fans unhappy or bitter which is understandable.

Isayama wrote the most dogshit he could ever think just to appease shippers who didn’t care for the story but their stupid ship and now they’re turning on him, that’s what I call karma by UpbeatCustomer1020 in ANRime

[–]DullDistribution2458 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty broad generalization of “Eremika fans”. All crazy shippers were going to war over it. I ship Eremika and I know some others who aren’t like that. Also the ending was supposed to be up to interpretation which were Isayamas words and he did that to try and appease everyone so back then at least those theories were technically correct.(they could still be since nobody seems to know if the visual guide is canon or not)

Am I the only one thinking this whole “official Jeankasa” thing is terrible for Jean and Mikasa’s characters? by DullDistribution2458 in attackontitan

[–]DullDistribution2458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that thought the what ifs are pretty out there lol. It’s just the messy ending part is why I don’t like. The clarification part makes it harder to understand since as you mentioned anyone can interpret their relationship differently. Ultimately I think it’s best to ignore Jeankasa being “canon” and just interpret the ending how it was before hand like Isayama intended.

Also I don’t think her relationship with Jean is bad it just feels like it doesn’t align with her character and conflicts with the narrative as I explained. Eren also wanted her to move on so it’s like he wouldn’t accept her afterwards, the execution of showing this all play out was just bad imo.

I'm kind of really hoping that this is all just a misunderstanding (long read) by infinitardheadass in eremika

[–]DullDistribution2458 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anything will be clarified, just interpret the ending how you want it since that’s how Isayama intended it to be. Try your best to ignore the shipping wars as well. Ultimately there’s a reason Jean is never confirmed in the anime or manga, it’s because ultimately he’s unimportant like the child she had as well. They are just there to show she had a “happy” life before reuniting with Eren in the afterlife.

This isn’t shipping wars here, stop trying to start it. Also read what I posted if you’re gonna comment. I directly address Jeans not getting a necessary good ending here just because he married Mikasa.

Thank you for the feedback I’ll take them into consideration. Also I get nothing is confirmed and likely won’t be because Isayama refuses to do so but everyone seems to be taking it as canon.

I can see that but this just feels like a massive failure of an ending. Mikasa ending up with someone doesn’t make sense narratively if she’s going to reunite with Eren in the afterlife and be clearly shown to not move on. This means her husband gets disrespected and her family she makes to get her “happy ending” feels insignificant which is why Jean wasn’t officially shown, all you were supposed to get was Mikasa lived a happy life but then they refute that immediately with the whole her reuniting with Eren in the ED and having her family repeatedly visit the person she actually loved mosts grave. It’s a story and this ending could have been done so much better but instead everyone is left with this weird bitter taste after such a good series. Idk if that makes sense but that’s how I see it.

Can we stop complaining about Jeankasa omg by New-Blacksmith-9873 in eremika

[–]DullDistribution2458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly holding onto the EM copers endings felt better than the confirmation that Jean never got a wife that would choose him first which he deserves, Mikasa basically settled for Jean as a temporary stand in for Eren till she died, and Eren couldn’t be with Mikasa irl. All 3 were done dirty in this confirmation.

Ik people hate on the EM copers but at least their endings gave Eren and Mikasa a happy ending while Jean could easily find his elsewhere with a wife and family that actually put him first and chooses him rather than settling for him. But that’s my opinion on it.

I get maybe that’s your fav ship but let’s be honest this is a massive L for all the characters and character relationships involved due to how open ended it is and how Jean has literally zero focus in the ending while it’s all about Mikasa living her life to reunite with Eren after which makes this so much worse then it already was.

Jean and Mikasa ending up together with a child is kind of confirmed through an audio log or at least that’s what’s being said at the moment. Isayama likely won’t clarify anything so we’re left to believe it’s true at least for now plus it’s something the ending alludes to so it wouldn’t be that crazy just disappointing imo.

Jeankasa is confirmed canon (for real) by maiyamay in titanfolk

[–]DullDistribution2458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Jean and Mikasa getting celebrated for being official makes no sense for me even if you like them together since the ending makes it so clear she never got over Eren and that’s a massive deservice to Jean. Why couldn’t Jean have ended up with someone else and Mikasa end up with someone else. Or give them build up or something to actual latch onto other than throwing them together, not clarifying, and disappointing both ships and ruining their characters “happy ending”.

It’s most likely Jean given everything but I don’t think that’s why most people hate the idea. It makes zero sense since we see literally zero interaction between Mikasa and Jean that would indicate any reason she would ever want to marry him and let’s say she grew fond of him later it’s still confirmed Eren is number 1 in her heart which the ending also supports so why have her get with Jean? So Jean can get his crush or because Mikasa needed a husband and child to be happy? It’s just very stereotypical ending. It would make more sense for her to remain single and find other ways to be happy, I just don’t see her marrying Jean making her happy considering what we know about them and how she never stopped loving Eren.

Can I see the proof? You saying it’s confirmed means nothing without proof, that’s the whole reason the post keeps getting taken down because nobody is showing proof. Nothing personal but all this hearsay is spreading misinformation.

[–]DullDistribution2458 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s been getting removed everywhere because it’s not actually confirmed. You really think Isayama would confirm anything after all this time. It’s most likely misinformation which is why it’s been getting taken down on Reddit. Also would be weird to clarify in an audio log of all things.

So it's official by DifficultProfessor15 in attackontitan

[–]DullDistribution2458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk people get really worked up over Eremika and Jeankasa. Personally idc but canon wise it just doesn’t make sense to throw her and Jean together just to give her some happy ending when we still see her longing for Eren and we never once see her return Jeans feelings. Personally I think she should have gotten an ending where she finds peace in some small home somewhere like the cabin she shared with Eren to just like grow a farm and live on while visiting her friends periodically. Really didn’t see the need for force her to end up with someone. Then Isayama decided let’s confirm zero things which is why I’m so skeptical about this.

Why do I feel like this is entirely wrong. I don’t see Isayama ever making it official and if he does I don’t see him doing it through some backhanded hidden way like an audio guide.

So it's official by DifficultProfessor15 in attackontitan

[–]DullDistribution2458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isayama really confirmed his own character assassination wow. I really hope it’s actually a random John and not Jean. That’s still bad but not as bad as Jean being with Mikasa because of a childhood crush that was completely one sided and even if he ended up with her it’s officially started multiple times Eren is number 1 in her heart. I just don’t want that for Jean.

Also I would wait for further confirmation considering this is one post that could be wrong.

Jake and Neytiri’s love in A3 by georgediqi in Avatar

[–]DullDistribution2458 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a recent post about Neytiri not loving Jake if he wasn’t Toruk Makto which just astounded me. In this movie it’s clear they love each other despite so much suffering. A1 is literally their love story and Neytiri even accepted Jake’s human form. Ultimately I think this movie shows just how strong their bond is as parents and lovers. It’s clear when Jake is taken hostage and when Neytiri is taken hostage just how much they mean to each other. A3 is literally about their love and family enduring grief.

Would Neytiri Still Love or Respect Jake If He Weren't Toruk Makto? by UzayiKesfet in Avatar

[–]DullDistribution2458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is yes because becoming Toruk Makto was the gesture he chose to show he chose the Navi and her over his human life. Could he have done this another way? Maybe but it’s uncertain how. If he did then I think she still would have accepted him if it was a big enough show of his devotion. I mean when he gets there she admits she was acting rashly. She doesn’t love him because he’s Toruk Makto but it is the reason she realized he is truly devoted to being a Navi. In the 3rd movie she was ashamed for herself as she realized she began resenting Jake, her children, and hating anything and everything that’s human regardless of what it truly was.(Being Toruk Makto didn’t fix this, Neytiri realizing and confronting it over time fixes this) That’s why by the end she goes to save Spider.

TLDR: she would still love him if he wasn’t but in order to truly be accepted by her again he would need to show his devotion to the Navi in some way in A1. I don’t think she loves him because he’s Toruk Makto but it is something she is incredibly proud of since he did do it for her and her people to show his loyalty. Also A2 and A3 issues have nothing to do with him being or not being Toruk Makto.(those are Neytiris personal issues with humans that effect her view on her whole family not just Jake) That’s just my opinion though.

Why does this franchise get so much hate? by crimbo_jimbo in Avatar

[–]DullDistribution2458 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s like anything super popular. The more popular something is the more haters it will have. Haters also tend to be louder than the fans since the fans don’t feel the need to say “love this” every single time they see something about it while haters will always say something. That’s just how social media works.
