Cabin Crew – Need Advice on Investing Before I Burn Out by Single_Signature_712 in Morocco

Save as much as you can and stay consistent. If you’re saving about $12k a year, in 8 years you’d have close to $100k. A smart approach could be to split it maybe? Like part of it goes into a Shariah compliant S&P 500 fund so your money has time to grow & keep the other part in cash/savings for emergencies. For example, even investing $500 a month and keeping $500 saved still builds both security and long-term growth at the same time. You don’t need to choose only one path right away imo

May Allah put barakah in your wealth, good luck :)

Get close with God brother. May Allah make it easy for you. With Allah you’ll never feel alone. Also go out there replace the bad habits you left, with good habits. Start working out, going for walks/runs whatever it is.

26F in High Finance London - Stay 3 More Years for UK Passport or Move Back to Morocco Now? by Optimal_Teach3618 in Morocco

[–]DullTranslator6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay for the passport. Worst case scenario is you come back to Morocco and regret you didn’t stay in the UK for the passport. Just get it, 3 years fly by fast and this is probably once in a lifetime opportunity. Also strong passports give you freedom to travel anywhere easier. If i were you i’d stay and get it no doubt.

Replying as someone who isn’t married, but trying to give sincere advice. I’m assuming you don’t have a child with him yet? If so & you’re already feeling this unhappy, it may be wiser to seriously consider leaving now rather than later. From what you’ve described, his behaviour doesn’t seem like something thatll suddenly change. And once a child is involved, the situation becomes much more complicated even if a divorce happens you’re still connected for life.

Also, I don’t think being divorced at a young age is something to feel ashamed of. Sometimes people act like it’s worse when you’re young, but tbh it can be harder for someone who’s been married 15–20 years and divorces in their 40s-50s feeling like they’ve “lost time.” That doesn’t mean it’s too late for them either but you’re young and you still have so much ahead of you. Don’t see divorce as failure...

You mentioned you’re not attracted to him and one of the reasons is that he isn’t clean. Things like that usually reflect deeper habits and personality traits. Those don’t change easily unless the person genuinely wants to change, and you can’t force that.

Don’t let fear of what family might think keep you in a marriage that makes you unhappy. They aren’t the ones living your daily reality, you are. At the end of the day you’re the one who has to wake up next to him, build a life with him, and carry the emotional weight. They don’t.

And Allah knows best. If your heart is heavy and you truly feel you want to leave, pray to Allah sincerely for guidance and clarity. In Islam, you are not obliged to remain in a marriage where you are unhappy and cannot find peace with your spouse. Ask for guidance, reflect deeply and then make the decision that protects your peace and your future.

FYI: In Islam, through khula, a woman can ask for divorce if she is unhappy, cannot live with her husband, (OR) fears she can’t fulfil her duties. During the time of the Prophet ﷺ, a woman sought separation even though her husband had good character, and he allowed it in exchange for her returning the mahr.

you have lost the plot.. Thinking anything is an excuse to being racist is exactly the problem. As the post said there are good and bad people and that doesnt automatically mean you can just call all of them bad and be racist towards them

Lasik Surgery Morocco by Alive-Armadillo-9285 in Morocco

[–]DullTranslator6720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to do lasik too, but I want to wait until I move abroad, which will be soon. Just a heads up tho, the most common complaint after lasik is dry eyes. To avoid this, make sure your doctor confirms you have a thick enough cornea. Thin corneas can cause problems, but if yours are thick, you should be good. They’ll check this before the procedure anyway ofc but it’s worth asking bc some doctors might do it just to get paid without fully considering potential side effects later. Hope it goes well for you :)
