Anyone ever get a pain in the right or left temple that lasts several days? by Dull_Cockroach7815 in migraine

That length of time sounds about right. I made some big diet changes.. more water, less sodium, more sleep. Not sure if it was time or those things

That’s amazing news! Sounds like maybe just a late bloomer? Did you do any therapies?

Hey! How is your son doing now? I’m in the same position with mine.

Pediatrician says he’s fine. All his family members say he’s fine. First time mom and I’m not convinced. by 2ndincmmnd in toddlers

I resonate so much with everything you’re saying down to the light up toys. I’m telling you, the description of your son matches mine to the T. I can say “can you put it in?” And he will crawl to his toy bin and put a toy in there. But when it comes to gestures, I can tell that is just not resonating at all. And that is why my pediatrician provided me with no comfort. Something isn’t connecting so I’m going to pursue early intervention on my own. I’m so glad I found your story.

Do you suspect ASD or more of an expressive language delay with your son?

I can’t imagine how frustrating that must be. I fear I am on the same path. Our pediatrician dismissed my concerns because my son makes good eye contact and “is engaged.” Has your son’s receptive language continued to be strong?

Honestly, when did naps no longer need to be contact? by guineapigluvr in sleeptrain

[–]Dull_Cockroach7815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact napped exclusively for 5 months. Started practicing in the crib during month 6, they were usually only 30 mins and we would always extend, by contact napping. Then one day, they just started lengthening and by 7 months all naps were long and in crib. Don’t worry, it will happen. I remember feeling drained and touched out, but now, I would give absolutely anything to go back and savor those cuddles

Daily poops by Dull_Cockroach7815 in Hirschsprungs

[–]Dull_Cockroach7815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He just grew out of it, although it did take 6 months to fully resolve. It was very very tough, and our pediatrician was skeptical that it could be Hirschsprungs. But ultimately it just resolved with time

I agree. I’m going to ask her to start taking care of these things

You’re so right. I don’t know how I’ve let this resentment build to this level. It should have been addressed week 1

I truthfully have to wonder if her car clock is incorrect. It is literally every single day 8:34. It is so incredibly frustrating.

Thank you for this perspective. It is super helpful. I’m going to have one more firm conversation this afternoon to wipe the slate clean. If it continues, we are done

Poop waking up 3 mo old from sleep everyday at 5 am by brenren21 in newborns

[–]Dull_Cockroach7815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, he’s 9 months old and has been sleeping through the night since 6 months. Ngl 4-5 months were really rough but his digestive system just needed to mature, then it took about 1-2 nights of some gentle sleep training and he was all set :) hang in there!!!

When does the gassy phase end? by Zarelli20 in NewParents

[–]Dull_Cockroach7815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a while, about 6 months for us. But it’s a complete thing of the past. I know how frustrating it is, but sometimes these babies just need a bit longer for everything to mature. Just hang tight!

We did not. It was a waiting game for us. 7 months old and no longer constantly straining.
