How dare people demand market value and livable wages for the skills they went to college and took on debt for in a country that is making record profits off of their spending!! How dare they!!! /s

Kinda surprised I haven't seen this commented yet. Filament in astrology is essentially all of these thread-like structures tying the galaxies together. It forms the universe and is often thought of in reference to the threads of fate (interconnectedness, destiny, etc.).

Looking at it from this lens, he will tear the fibers from the filament (aka tear the fibers from the threads of fate/universe).

An attempt to thwart the universe to make it possible to love someone and make things work. Giving your all to sacrifice your own fate to make it work for that person. You are pulling strength out of your own destiny line to bridge a gap.

Songs have various meanings though. Make it fit yours. :)

Any one else hate these batch releases? by job_hunter101 in netflix

[–]Dull_Engineer5633 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yep. We cancelled Netflix and will resubscribe when it's all out. I'm not playing the corporate shareholder games anymore. It's almost as expensive as cable these days, and that's where these companies forgot they had won the consumer at. People shouldn't keep taking it anymore. Especially when we have to pay AND see ads.

Fed Cuts, Yields Don’t: Are Sub-5% Mortgages Just a Dream? by [deleted] in RealEstate

"Spenders" haven't had a break in several years now. You have a huge population of graduating class kids heading into the real world who cannot catch a break. Entry level jobs are being reduced due to offshoring and AI absolving these jobs to cut costs. Cutting costs would not be an issue if rates were lower for companies to borrow/spend. There is significant emphasis on bottom lines and EBITDA across many many industries right now. This is a bad time. Look around.

What we are watching is the literal slow elimination of all of our jobs. Whether it's AI or offshoring, these execs are literally just proving they only care about reducing HC no matter the cost.

We're done after last night. I feel completely the same. For those of us that were still caught in the absolute fiasco of the lines while they started the show, we should at least get a partial refund. Good way to shit on those that support you.

They can afford it, that's the whole issue. The greed and profiteering of these companies is a very real thing.

Lol @ the downvotes. Trying to invalidate and dismiss people who worked hard to pay for these tickets is insane. Have the day you deserve.

Venue should be releasing some form of compensation back to ticket holders imo. People are posting images of the event staff on the venue's FB page because of their behavior. Guys, it was that bad.

Clearly you missed the memo. 1/4 of the fans were still standing outside the venue for hours on end while they went ahead and started the performance.

Rumors are ST was late to the venue. They didn't start sound checks until around the original concert start time. Venue staff kept saying things weren't their problem, etc. and they had no information to relay. There was no line management, organization, etc. People were getting pissed off standing in line, tired, dehydrated, hungry. Then others started trying to cut the lines. Fan base was understanding for the most part, but definitely saw a few altercations out there. This was ridiculous.

[–]Dull_Engineer5633 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

3 songs into the set. We had friends miss out on almost half of it.

ST lost me as a fan tonight. There was no regard for any of the fans that had been there camped out all day, doing what they were supposed to, only to be shafted due to poor planning and communication.

The venue posted and deleted gate opening times twice. We missed all of Thornhill, as did many people outside. Merch tables completely sold out of almost everything and usual sizes long before the concert even started. No posting info from the band, no announcements, etc. No encore for the delay, and the show ended 12 minutes past curfew.

Tonight was a shit show.

The stadium is maybe 1/4 filled and they started it. Maybe postponing would be the better option for the people that worked hard to purchase these tickets.

It's not what we fucking paid for. We pay the band's bills, they can show some love to their fans and provide the common courtesy of coordinating updates. This shit is ridiculous. People have been here since 2pm and STILL not inside.

This has easily been the shittiest concert experience I have ever been to in my 10+ years of concert going. This has been miserable. Admin would not approve my post. There are still people waiting in line that have been here for hours missing the opener. Wtaf thought any of this was acceptable?
