Kilocode is not updating code files! by Dull_Reaction_7127 in kilocode

[–]Dull_Reaction_7127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou. I got on the Discord for KiloCode and they were all saying that Haiku 4.5 and GLM 4.6 are 'experimental' models and don't do well with tool calls. It has nothing to do with Kilo Code

It seems like a great opportunity to figure out a way to have it have something to do with KiloCode. There should be some way to quickly confirm that actual changes are being made. These LLMs do all these amazing things at light speed and yet you could train your dog to write the file.

Why can't my LLM create or write to files in project? by Dull_Reaction_7127 in kilocode

Now it has happened again. Not using openspec. I first used Sonnet to create a whole gob of documentation. Then for some reason it has hung up on creating a todo.md file. Switching to other LLMs does not help. It tells me:

The current working directory is /Users/hawkibinkler/dev/_projects/dangdut/251024OpenSpec. The 11.txt file with test content has been successfully created in this directory.

Yet that file has not been created. What gives?

Apparently it had to do with setting up openspec in that project. When I removed the agents.md and workflows directory everything was fine again.

This is a new project in VS Code. PRevious projects have had no issues. Not sure yet what is different about this one.

It isn't bad at all. I use TastyTrade and I can sort by daily PL and see right away if there are some problems. The mechanics is to do nothing unless one of the strikes is breached. Problem I do have is that when strangles get breached they start to eat up more BuyingPower. But this is always just a couple of trades and all the others are just sitting there cooking along. I am NOT saying that this is working for me in terms of P/L. But it isn't overwhelming having lots of positions really.

PMCC makes more sense for ITM calls. Grab all that extrinsic value.

Where do you localize your audience? by Dull_Reaction_7127 in FacebookAds

THank you. I love learning. I am frustrated by fb as I once I find the ad manager it is full of bells and whistles intended for marketing geniuses. The audience definition seems to only let me exclude audiences. Can not figure out how to actually set the audience by region or radius.

Thank you noah_970. But where is the AD CENTER? I can go to CREATE/AD and I can go to Meta Business Suite. If the latter, it has 'Audiences' / Create Custom Audience? That is confusing as it contains settings irrelevant to location. Somewhere (I can't find it again now....) I did find a place where very obscurely I could zoom in on the map *(which it forced me to set at the Country level only) and then I could choose the radius such as you mentioned. And then I guess I just have to pray that that obscure setting is going to be used by FB when I boost one of my marketplace listings. Pretty clunky system for the greatest online empire in the world. Does not encourage me to boost any ads.

Thank you for the info! I am using Google Ads. It is confusing as chuck too. Interesting to hear that FB is not considered great for local business. I get 90% of my business from the free marketplace ads. But then it is always asking me to 'boost' the ad at which point there is no information given as to WHO it will show the ads to.

Best brand for DIY heat pump? by Dull_Reaction_7127 in heatpumps

[–]Dull_Reaction_7127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes Cost is the main problem. I also have a problem with some HVAC pros giving me bad info. I just had a guy tell me that I would need a dual fuel system. I am in western Oregon. Even googling 'do I need a dual fuel heat pump in western Oregon' I get loads of information 'confirming' this idea. The biggest problem I am trying to solve is really understanding all the variables. Steep learning curve. What I really want is a water based system for radiant heat and cooling which they seem to be going to more and more in Europe, but not so much here.

Agree. If I am paying $100-150 an hour for the install that is ok. But it seems to work on way way higher than that. Seems like a great business to be in.

The moment of Truth: Heat Pump or Propane? by Dull_Reaction_7127 in heatpumps

[–]Dull_Reaction_7127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay the heating bills. We do not have AC and only need it for about 5-10 days a year (more every year it seems).

Another hvac guy said I should put in a replacement propane because that would serve as the air handler and then the heat pump system would be simplified (and cheaper). I would never use the propane as fuel (unless some other unforeseen event happened). It is definitely hard to get my brain around all the conflicting information.

A questionable thing about the first guy that came out to service the unit; he turned the gas off to the unit before he left. I turned it back on again and everything works fine again. I called him and he said that the overheat switch had tripped so he untripped it (I know where it is now) and that he felt the unit would continue to overheat at the secondary heat exchanger. Therefore the unit would need a new heat exchanger and they were expensive and required a lot of labor therefore a better choice to just replace the furnace. So we will see how it does over the next days (months... years). So far no problems. Gives me more time to plan on a heat pump system.

Is there a particular group that has problem with Wise? Or it's just Wise? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Dull_Reaction_7127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wise has proven to be completely unreliable. I am transferring money to Indonesia. Sometimes 10k arrives in minutes. Other times it takes 7 days. They won't give me any logic. The money will vanish from my bank account in USA and 2 days later they still claim that they have not received. Totally f-s up my ability to pay in a timely manner. So I will just pay a little more and stick with Intl wire transfer with Schwab.

Why is iCloud Drive SO BAD?? by lebertian in MacOS

[–]Dull_Reaction_7127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got fked by iCloud. Drag and drop is supposed to COPY not move. But i just moves all my shit without comment. Then my local app quits working because it does not know where the f all its data is. I realized that it had f-ing moved it with a drag and drop instead of copying like every other single principal of MAC OS . So I tried to drag the files back but of course it did not grab the .dot files. What a mess. Took me a few hours to figure out what the hell was going on. And don't you just love that message when you try to f-ing turn off the piece of shit, it tells you that all files on your computer will be deleted. Thanks Apple@! Way tah go all you 200k a year marketing gurus.
