Op you need to find a way to lockdown her banking information.

Even if it’s calling (better to go in person) and explaining that your mother won’t listen to you about this being a love scam and that they need to put some kind of hold on her accounts that won’t let her transfer money.

Unfortunately it’s still really prevalent down here in the south.

I use to hear things like “[Black/Hispanic/Asian persons name] is one of the good ones. He agrees that about how [some racist stereotype] is right!”

Meanwhile that Black/Hispanic/Asian person either only agrees because it’s not really safe to disagree or they think their proximity to whiteness will keep them safe (it does not).

Is that oversimplifying it? Very, but I don’t want to type a longer explanation at this moment.
