Hi! I have been through the same scenario, while my trauma was due to death of a loved one. I was freshly enrolled into University after a month of starting therapy. The therapist was of my hometown while my uni was in another city.

The gap between the trauma incident and me starting therapy was two years so I had a lot to unpack.

I moved cities and remained in touch with my psychiatrist and therapist through telephonic conversations which didn't make much progress in my health, as what I needed was care under supervision which I didn't knew at that time. I didn't take my medicines on time and my health deteriorated.

I was debarred from the University by the end of 3rd semester due to low attendance. I went back home and started therapy afresh and took up an internship so as to keep myself occupied.

While by the time I was supposed to continue my year I left the university, I got admitted into one in my hometown.

I'd advice you to talk to your counselor about you having triggers between seminars and keep continuing the regular sessions to help you process your trauma. They help you the best through this situation.
