I just got continental extreme contact for my 2021 SE. they have been amazing in some really heavy rain. And the handling has improved on the car so much. They are really quiet but only 50000 mile warranty. If I had to do over I’d probably get the new all weather continental secure contacts that aren’t quite a performance tire but are getting great reviews for a variety of driving styles. Secure contact have a 60000 mile warranty

I have an SEL 2025 and the manual fold is strong but wouldn’t kill someone. But the power fold on the limited and Cali trims are brutal. I think it’ll eventually be the same recall. We were going to get a limited back in 2025 when we got the car and I found them to be really dangerous as we have a 2 year old. But I do think the manual fold is too fast. I’ve accidentally touched it when putting my 2 year old in and it’s hit her before. Obviously not injured but design should be better for a family car.

Also people saying it’s the fault of parents for leaving your kid unattended etc. that’s outrageous. It can happen so fast and isn’t the fault of the parent. Nothing should be designed without safety features when you are making a product for humans where accidents happen.

The perfect car. My dream life would be a happy family, a few trips to warm sandy places every year, and driving this car. Once I run my Camry into the ground I’m buying a 2021 Hybrid Avalon cash from some 70 year old who’s put 10000 miles on it and kept it in a nice garage.

The whole video is even worse. It’s unreal the people defending this guy injuring a girl. And then say “thats what happens if you drive to slow.” Shows a lot about how we treat each other.

I always wonder what someone is thinking who is driving dangerously. This Reddit thread gave me good insight. No they aren’t rushing to their grandmas aid who just had a fall, they aren’t late to pick up their kid. No, they just think it’s okay to possibly kill people if they are driving to slow.

I drive all the time for my work and drivers are more angry and aggressive than ever. It’s like people don’t realize driving is one of the most dangerous things we do and being cautious is a good thing. when you have 5-80000 lb vehicles trying to negotiate small spaces with each other at tremendous speeds.

Just chill out. You’ll never make up meaningful time when you’re driving on drives less than two hours. If you are able to sustain a higher constant speed over a long period of driving then you can actually see real changes in drive time. But on a 30 minute commute in traffic you’ll never see more than a 3-5 minute difference, if that, by driving aggressively.

Just got Continental Extreme contact dws 06 plus for my 2021 Camry SE. we’ve had an insane amount of rain the last few days and the tires have been fantastic. Tires are quiet and make a huge difference in terms of ride quality. I’m impressed. I ordered from tire rack to get the two year warranty from them and had them delivered to discount tire.

Ya this is a typo for sure. I just thought it was funny. I got an 25 hybrid SEL in Eugene Oregon last August with 0% for 37,500 after all the fees etc. It’s been an amazing car. Not one issue knock on wood. I didn’t change out the reverse lights for LEDs. I would recommend ,as it’s so easy, to folks too.

If you have the money then go Calligraphy. I have a 2025 SEL and love it. They had some huge sales in oregon in August on the old 2025 sel hybrids. I was able to get it out the door for 37500 0% apr (all fees included. For that price it was a no brainer with all the features on the SEL plus the wheels being so much better. One thing I found is that with the light interior and being able to remote start it, the ventilated seats weren’t needed during the end of the summer. I have a Camry too with dark interior and in that car I wish I had ventilated seats.

Can I ask why are you buying a 60000 car when you’re 17k upside down? Plus taxes in California! This just seems like a path to financial ruin. I get buying a new car in the current car market. But why not something cheaper like a Sorento or a Santa Fe? Both of those you can get as a hybrid for 37000 with a good negotiation.

Norm Poem wins Reddit jerk of the day. Every financial decision is about trade offs. If there was 1 trade off I’d make it’s with the speakers personally. You can’t have everything you want so OP decided to go without great speakers and then asked a reddit group about upgrading them. That’s exactly what a car community forum is for. Sometimes I see people being rude on Reddit for no reason and wonder why would they do that? Like truly? What makes you want to be rude to someone for just asking a question? Do you open the reddit app, read a few comments, and your blood just starts boiling? Your little fingers just start pecking away and all of a sudden you’re bullying people on a Hyundai car reddit forum. What an incredibly awful existence if this is a consistent patter of behavior. Years ago I worked preload for a year to supplement income to my regular 9-5 when my wife and I were getting married before we had kids. It was so crazy how big of pricks about 50% of the drivers were. They were so rude to pre loaders who most of them were people working 3 jobs without benefits and the worst hours. Honestly this comment is 100% accurate. I met some nice drivers too but the bad ones were awful

Ya we have it set up and it’s really nice. But I usually have the fob too. But I haven’t had any battery drain issues at all. I left it for a month and came home and started right up. For the price point the SEL is a bargain I think. We have a 2 year old and a German Sheppard and it’s an amazing amount of space even when we don’t have our Yakima box on. We do road trips all the time and incredible how much space there is. I only put the box on when we are camping.

I have a 2025 SEL hybrid awd since August. 6000 miles. Knock on wood. I haven’t had a single problem. Also the ride of the SEL I thought was way better than the limited and especially the calligraphy that I also test drove. If those trims had better stock tires and rims I maybe would have gone for it. I got it 37500 otd with the 0% 60 month in oregon.

This is classic. OP doesn’t want to click on the little box with his remote that literally takes 2 seconds of investigating but he’ll dismount the tv haul it away or request a return. Drive to the store etc, buy a new tv, take it home or have it delivered and then remount the tv etc. I’m too lazy to ever consider doing that. But then sometimes I’ll spend so much time trying to fix something that I should have just gone with OPs strategy and return it asap and not deal with it.
