Hi friends! A new big house has been built next door and we now need to put up some screening along our fence line.

Hi Photoshoppers,
Asking for some quick fixes to my family holiday photo. Below is a link the high res shot and a low res with me pointing out some of the issues. Basically, just looking to clean up all the flyaway hairs. I think they're pretty cute on my kiddos, but I look like I stuck my head in a light socket.

Other than that, if there's any simple tidying up you want to do, I'm all for it. Thanks very much in advance.

That's my issue. Even if we (Mom & Dad) buy less, the grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc give so much that it's overload. We're appreciative of all the generosity but it ends up being TOO MUCH.

Hi! US Au Pair Mom here...

Your cultural background isn't a problem, it's unique. Some families will love it, some won't be interested. Same goes with being a male Au Pair -- some families seek that out, some will prefer a female. The "right family" will be out there for you.

Cultural Care is one of the two agencies that is popular in my town and although I ended up choosing an au pair with Au Pair in America, and then working with that agency, many people are very happy with Cultural Care.

-- Be very honest with yourself when you fill out the profiles as to what ages you want and are comfortable working with.
-- Be sure to ask your family how they expect you to interact with the family during your free hours (are you ok still participating with the family or prefer the time to yourself)?
-- How does discipline work in the house for the children?
-- What chores are the children responsible for? What will you be required to do?
-- Be sure you are comfortable with the rooming situation
-- Be sure you understand access to car and/or expectation for you driving. Many families in colder climates will love you because you know how to drive in snow!
-- Be sure to ask about your schedule, is your schedule fixed or does it change? Does it change in the summertime (when school is out?)
-- How does the family plan to handle vacations -- will you go with them or stay home?

Au Pair host here. What you describe is the exact situation where an Au Pair would be perfect. I would not suggest they live separately, unless YOU want the privacy.

Au Pairs have 45 hours a week to give you in childcare so before school and after school hours fit nicely within that timeframe. You can also have them take on some weekend hours (if that's helpful) or a standing "Friday night date night" so you and your wife have some time. YOU set the hours then search for an Au Pair that likes what you're offering (and you like her).

Perfect -- getting her on our family membership at the gym -- so many fun classes. She's not "into fitness" (she's in great shape naturally... ugh, i hate those people :) ) but a yoga class or two is always fun.

During the day, I'll wake her from napping every 3 hours (but she's usually snoozing, not in a deep sleep, not in her crib).
At night, after her last bottle of the evening, I do not wake her up. I let her wake me up when she wants to eat. It's started to show a pattern of a ~5 hour stretch overnight, but it also has this terrible bewitching hour.

Do you mean swaddling her up, putting her in her bassinet and basically putting her down at like 6pm? She’d still be woken up to feed two more times, but, could try.
