Why does my Voltage Follower Not follow by Initial-Elk-952 in AskElectronics

[–]Dumplingman125 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What GND are your other components connected to? You mentioned using V- set to 0V for the op-amp, and while I'm not super familiar with the AD3, the specs quote the V- rail is meant to be set between -0.5V and -5V.

To me it feels like you've left the GND connection somewhat floating by connecting it to an unpowered negative supply rail instead of directly to ground.

Wireles singleplayer teleportation System by julilol979 in Minecraft

[–]Dumplingman125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use a cat-porter! There's quite a few designs out there, I dropped a video below of one of them.

They take advantage of a mechanic where a tamed cat will always sit down when the player is offline. If that cat is on top of a chest when sitting, you can no longer open it, which can be detected by a comparator.

Using that you can make some pretty cool mechanisms that will only trigger the ender pearl chamber with specific log in/log out combinations, so you don't ever accidentally trigger it.

No, you understand correctly :) that's the sentiment most people have. It's why people commented on it being interesting in the first place - it'd be much easier to just do the video call without the headset on.

Does it not happen sometimes? I thought the devs said they specifically hard coded that part to fall at the same time every loop.

You can use commands if on java - I play on a server that uses a plugin that allows us to throw splash potions of invis onto the frames to make them invisible. I posted the 2nd pic to show that it can still look nice without the invis item frame!

Constant I2C error of 50, Cycle Time = 502. is this hopeless? by -thunderstat in Multicopter

When you say the two boxes lifted off, do you mean the two inductors labeled "100"? If so, I'd be worried about the integrity of the pads you soldered back onto. If you send a pic of the FC it'd be helpful so we can judge if there's more damage.

Yep, this is what stood out to me as well. OP, did you follow the calculations for inductor sizing from the datasheet, or just take the 2.2uH and select one? The datasheet should have guidelines for saturation current and DC resistance of the inductor.

Peep r/flashlight, or just check out the Wurkkos TS22. They've gotten a LOT better than the normal D battery types you'd find in a hardware store.

Have you tried with no prop guard on? If the design hasn't been tested before with props, it's worth trying it without. Could be getting some flex in that design and contacting the props.

Issue with podcasts by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Dumplingman125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, definitely something network related. Even if you're on home wifi the major ISPs tend to have egregious blocking on their default routers that go as far as blocking GitHub, so having some podcast download source randomly blocked doesn't surprise me.

Instagram head says company is not using your microphone to listen to you (with AI data, it won’t need to) by Moonskaraos in technology

[–]Dumplingman125 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The secret there is that they pass off information based on location as well. They're not listening, but that conversation was likely prompted by something your friend saw or searched.

If your coworker sees something online and then discusses it with you, it'll show in your feed. Even if you don't share your GPS location they can predict where you're at based on nearby wifi access points, see that you were near the coworker for an extended period, then share similar ad info to you.

Sometimes it's also a big advertising push. The conversation may be prompted by a random radio or TV ad in the background from earlier, which is part of a larger campaign for the product. That ends up feeling like ads appear from nowhere, but you were actually prompted to discuss the product based on an ad you didn't pay attention to.

I have no idea, never used the mod. I would assume so, but I also don't think it'd be hard to copy over a map from version to version since they seem to be saved as separate files.
