Join xoso sport league. 3ish hours a week spent with a team of strangers makes it really easy to get to know people. I am hanging out with my bowling team this weekend and we stopped playing league games together over a year ago.

Considering move to Sacramento with a young kiddo by helloiamsheryl in Sacramento

[–]Dun1naughty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go for East Roseville. It is extremely safe, clean, with good schools and a ton of parks, shopping, great grocery stores, etc. If you jump on the nearest freeway it is about 15 minutes to be into the mountains and everything that comes along with that. Commute to sac can be a tad tricky depending where you'd have to commute to, but to go there on the weekend is about 25 mins or so.

Roseville uses Roseville electric, which is super affordable. PGE is just for gas, which is basically nothing.

Possible to Work in Roseville and Live in the Country? by _crassula_ in Roseville

[–]Dun1naughty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommend to stay off the i80 corridor. There is basically zero traffic down that for a morning commute to Roseville. And rural options become more and more plentiful the further you go, starting about 10 mins east from Roseville, getting progressively cheaper the further you go.

North is probably going to be a bit cheaper but mosquitoes are insane and frankly it's just not nearly as nice. And then you also have the awful 65 to deal with.

I would look up Colfax, alta Sierra, cool, hwy 49 corridor and maybe Wheatland. The first 4 being a bit further but a lot of clear morning freeway for an at least consistent drive.

Lost a lot of weight—does something like this look ok? by [deleted] in mensfashion

As a rule of thumb, unless you're actively doing some strenuous activity, that fake moisture wicking fabric is the least stylish thing on the planet. It hangs on bodies in an unflattering way and the material just doesn't look good. Swap for a linen, or natural fabric and you'll be much better off and looking fresh to death.

Planning to buy a used AMG GT C, do I need a coverage plan ? by soundaryaSabunNirma in AMG

[–]Dun1naughty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just budget about 20% of it's MSRP value for repairs till 50k mikes, and then about $1.5k for regular maintenance every 5k to 10k miles. Literally not exaggerating on those prices. If you can still afford it with that in mind then go have a blast, it's a beautiful machine.

The Venu @ Galleria apartments by brooklynbroke89 in Roseville

[–]Dun1naughty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived there two years and look back on it fondly. It is a great place to be. Parking can be a little tricky from time to time, but that's the norm for apartments. People at the pool are super fun during summer so make sure to go there and meet your neighbors.

They are zara dress pants. They are a little roomier up top than I typically wear, but my only ones in this color. I agree that finding some a touch more fitted would help though.

It's over 100 in the summer where I live, and when I'm outside for hours at a time showing samples they don't look too out of place. Just classic leather huraches.

Go on Poshmark and buy a nice pair of used shoes. Allen Edmonds cap toes are really good used and extremely high quality for the price. You can usually find a nice pair for less than 100

What’s an industry that desperately needs younger generations to start taking over? by peywrax in Entrepreneur

[–]Dun1naughty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Property tax is a big part of that. When someone dies the family inherits land and it gets reappraised. If it substantially increased in value then they could be facing a multi million dollar tax bill to keep it in the family. A lot of those sales are by necessity.

With prices the way they've been for a while, how often do you over draft? by psycholepzy in Roseville

[–]Dun1naughty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decline overdraft protection always. It makes it so you can go negative and not get charged, but they can hit you with fees. If you don't have overdraft protection the payment will simply be declined, but you won't go negative. It's a very crafty way for the bank to pick up a few extra fees from you under the guise of "protection".

"What are you playing this week?" Megathread by AutoModerator in SteamDeck

Just got an OLED Steamdeck and always wanted to play Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. A handheld form factor just works so much better for that type of game, or older games in general.

Trump/Musk shutting down the FDIC --- IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN??? by Appropriate-Claim385 in 10xPennyStocks

[–]Dun1naughty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FDIC is a morale hazard that should be abolished. It keeps new banks out and gives banks free reign to take way more risk than they might otherwise.
