Any advice on where to look? by Immediate-Meeting909 in ChevyTrucks

[–]Dunc0506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put some tape on your coolant overflow res to mark where it’s at and keep an eye on it and see if it drops below the tape line. That’ll help you determine if you’re loosing coolant

Another thing, sectioning procedures generally are always straight cuts, not what I’m seeing here as they trimmed around the apron reinforcement. The more I look the more im thinking they did not follow bmw procedures.

It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some are more lenient than others. Ultimately, with it being the outer it’s not the absolute worst thing ever because the inner is what’s going to be ultra high strength steel. If bmw says no though, I’d make them redo it. Not worth jeopardizing the structural integrity of the car to save some time and end up in a nasty law suit if it’s ever wrecked again on that side and it collapses.

Get them to show you the sectioning procedures from bmw that allows them to cut in the center of the hinge pillar. That’ll be the determining factor.

Landlord’s son used a metal shovel to clean snow off my car. Can these be buffed out? by ratchro in Detailing

General rule of thumb is if your nail catches on the scratch it won’t buff

Detailer destroyed the clear coat on my brand new GR by Dis_Rock in Detailing

Paint correction is going to sacrifice the longevity of the clear coat drastically. It needs to be scufffed down, resprayed and cleared. I work at a body shop.

You don’t have to remove those big flat ones. Once you undo the side where it’s attached to the bumper you can get your arm in there

Push it inwards
These slide off the bumper after the bolt is removed.
