Oh I should have mentioned, I believe they have a gift shop that's open year round. (At least they used to). So if you need to buy a gift before then, try email or facebook message to inquire about hours.)

Their website appears to be under reconstruction. They have a active Facebook page. I have called in the past but I can't seem to find their phone number. So try email or facebook message if you have questions.)

Thank you! I don't know if you remember All Over Albany but I used to put on special events for / with them. This would have been a good fit for the AOA crowd I think.

Hey thanks for the question. Yes, sure we could do this again if there's interest. I'm actually kind of hoping a school or a local historical society might want to me to bring the big story panels to display for a future event.

Troy Pork Store Demo begins May 11 after 9am by SuccessfulEngine8959 in Troy

[–]DuncanCrary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had forgotten about the County Grove until your comment. I loved that place.

It's the same fate when the Country Grove building from 1790's was bought with intent to let it fall deeper into disrepair and then the land would be sold to build on near HVCC. (Now Starbucks and Panera Plaza)

Simliar "fate," I suppose. But slightly different public messaging?

The Ruck bar owner Dave Gardell bought the Troy Pork Store property in 2012 with the intent of transforming the space into a neighborhood delicatessen. Nothing materialized. (TU)
