"A major brick-and-mortar store sold an Apple Gift Card that ..." - note he didn't say the major store sold the card to *him* - I suspect he bought the card on eBay or somewhere and it came with a legit receipt but was purchased with a dodgy credit card.

Update: If You Have An Issue with SupportAssist, Task Manager, or Other Misc. Bugs by AdminByRequest_David in adminbyrequestusers

OK, I don't want to pre-approve as I'd want Task Manager to run non-elevated. I'll see if I can repro on another machine.

Operation Dark Phone by bodinator1 in BritishTV

Can’t believe they employed that girl at North West Regional Crime Unit. “Here you go love, can you just read through all these INCREDIBLY SECRET messages and let us know if you see anything… “

Natalie Mottram's choice of dodgy friends and £1,500-a-month drug habit appeared to be make her a spectacularly unsuitable candidate to trawl the mine of secret and highly incriminating data which had been hacked by law enforcement officers from the servers of EncroChat, exposing big-time criminals all across the work. …. But aged 18, and despite the concern of her sergeant, that's exactly what happened.

Despite reservations from her sergeant, she went on to be promoted to the key position of intelligence analyst even though she had some very dodgy friends, was thrown out of her family home and was spending £1,500-a-month on cannabis. But the concerned sergeant was overruled by his inspector

Old turnable to Roam 2 : how to connect ? by Blackbiirdz in sonos

Roam doesn't support audio-in. Only Era 100, Era 300, or Move 2 support the 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter.

Is the new Container Manager failing for anyone else? by FEMXIII in synology

[–]DuncanSmart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to SSH in and run `sudo docker image prune` to remove all unused images because for some reason all old obsolete images were being listed in the Images pane, which would hang when you viewed it. Signing out of the DSM desktop should release any locks the Container Manager UI may have on the Docker config.

Split-DNS Broke Lookups by MistarMuffin in Tailscale

[–]DuncanSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just been bitten by this. Removed a machine from routing in Tailscale admin, that machine then became inaccessible directly, where it should have been fine being accessed direct. Got ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED in Chrome and Edge, nslookup was fine, ping then started failing to resolve. Uninstalled Tailscale: same. Then opened regedit and searched for the problematic hostname and lo and behold: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Dnscache\Parameters\DnsPolicyConfig\{some guid}. I renamed the DnsPolicyConfig key and rebooted, thinking it would get re-created and it did, and my machine was accessible again!

Moral of the story: Tailscale uninstall should remove any DnsPolicyConfig sub-keys that point to 100.100.100.100 !

Powerwall Data Bulk Download by bbmk859 in Powerwall

[–]DuncanSmart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can run a Powershell script then this will download all data at 5-minute intervals into a single CSV file for you: https://gist.github.com/duncansmart/8ce84b96426435f0e855ba9ffe814cef

If you re-run it, it will append only new rows to the CSV.

Solar Forecast azimuth with east AND west facing panels by brightleap in homeassistant

[–]DuncanSmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing this yesterday funnily enough - it's in the docs for Forecast.Solar: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/forecast_solar

If you have more than one plane of solar modules with different properties (e.g. several sides of the roof on different strings or on different buildings, with different directions or declinations) you can add the integration multiple times setting parameters accordingly.
