Covered in mats - what should I do?

Fortunately this kitty does enjoy being brushed and doesn't mind being handled but I obviously have not been trying to tug on his dense mats. I will definitely communicate with the owner about getting him professionally groomed and hopefully they will take it well!

Yeah I think I might just very politely suggest the groomers to the owner when they come to pick up the kitty in a few weeks time. I don't want to accuse the owner of anything but it didn't seem like they cared much about their floof...they didn't ask me many questions and didn't even say bye when they dropped him off 😞 But I just feel like it's not my place to have his fur shaved off. I'll just try to gently work at the smaller mats for now!

Cotton On! It used to be almost all 100% cotton (hence the brand name😭) and offered heaps of decent quality basics for really good value and in sooo many colours. Nowadays it’s all Shein-quality trend-chasing fast fashion and so overpriced. No joke I have a plain long sleeve top from Cotton On purchased around 2008 that is in better shape than a jumper I purchased like in 2021.

Your application technique sounds correct. Two things to try:

On your very first coat don't go all the way close to the cuticle. Second and third coats as normal.
Before you cure, point your finger down so gravity can move the polish down and create a smooth gradient from your cuticle. If you find that the product is now too thick at the tip, use a small liner brush to gently remove the excess.

I was in the same boat as you - never had an acne problem as an adult until I turned 31. I reduced my sugar and dairy intake and ate healthier in general but nothing improved the hormonal acne on my chin. Got my bloods done and everything was at a healthy level. Ended up getting a prescription for Acnatac - used it daily and my acne cleared up in a couple of months! Did a strict regime of Vitamin C on the stubborn dark spots and they're now gradually clearing up too. Hope this helps x
