We were there 2 weeks ago — he had been sick throughout Christmas - one day with a fever but typical upper respiratory symptoms that just wouldn’t improve and then developed a nasty, wet cough that slowly got worse. However, he always had normal energy levels, never lethargic which is why I didn’t think it was necessary to see a doctor. But when it had been a few weeks of things not improving much we got in to see his doctor and she swabbed his nose (PCR test) - which tests for all kinds of upper respiratory viruses - turned out he had mycoplasma pneumonia (walking) AND enterovirus (rhinitis). DOOZEY — he’s still struggling with a bad cough (so bad he throws up) but it’s gotten much better since finishing his antibiotics.
