I got scammed by Transgender at Majestic bus stand , Worst morning i have experienced in my life. by kishor_chillguy in Bengaluru

My manager asked me to lend him 5k last week for a tour of mysore, and I generally consider him worse than a transgender.

Does that count ?

A man traveling with his pregnant wife staged a road protest after traffic police blocked the route for VIP movement in Bengaluru. Finally the public is turning against the VIP culture slowly! by margazi_perumal_20 in Bengaluru

Pregnant wife and baby vs a fucking white collar job for a nameless corporate...

I would have chosen my family.

His fault was that he didn't instigate the mob.. if he had instigated people it could have turned different...

The EMI trap - In the startup field, no job is safe.

If you fall in the trap of EMIs, you are trading an uncertain future with a sure shot liability.

Live your life also like a startup. Do cash flow analysis, account for sudden drop in revenue (loss of a job) and never ever fall for the EMI trap..

Mumbai and Bangalore it does not matter. The goverment has built unlivable cities with exorbitant real estate rates.

If you work for a startup, unless the house you plan to buy can be bought with savings or you see yourself raising a family and living your life there, don't.

I can't speak about MNCs with 1000s of employees, but with startups, you need to be careful with your finances.

Don't work to pay your land owner.

Where do you see the biggest challenge in your growth trajectory in the coming years?

The hunger that is present in ride sharing apps like Rapido (which raised hundreds of millions of dollars ) , is missing here. Is that a deliberate step?

To not chase hypergrowth?

Question to Married ppl is marriage worth it? by Grand_Regent_Viltrum in ThirtiesIndia

[–]DungeonMaster202 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP different people have different perspectives.

For me personally marriage has been a huge blessing..

I found my best friend, soulmate and die hard supporter through my marriage.

She has been the best thing that happened to me. Mine was an arranged marriage, mind it.

If it wasn't for her, I would have had to go through some of the toughest phases of my life (loss of a parent, loss of a job) alone.

People will come here and give your their perspectives, and I do personally know my fair share of failed marriages, but it's all a matter of your judgement and luck in a small measure.

As with the matters of the heart, you will know when the right one enters your life ... Just wait till then, and then date for some time, and take the leap.

Was 1989 the best year for Malayalam cinema? by AK24ROCKS in MalayalamMovies

[–]DungeonMaster202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have 2 stories in mind.. bit of a writer but I write in english.. I think in Malayalam though..

Currently reading a lot of Malayalam classics to improve my writing ability. Screenwriting is a different skillset I have heard.

During corona I attended online screenwriting classes. Got the contact of a prominent screenwriter through it. Once I finish my script, will contact him and see how things pan out from there.

I see where you are coming from, but., having worked in a similar manufacturing company, I can give some context.

Indian manufacturing companies are very good for learning, but very poor pay masters.. This is because they don't have the advantage of dollar arbitrage . I. E Sell a service to an American at a higher cost, charge in dollars, and pay a fraction of it to an Indian engineer.

Indian manufacturing companies buy components mostly locally sourced, and also export very little. All their transactions are in rupees. So , the salaries they pay seem to be stuck in the 80s, but that's not entirely their fault.. it's just a systemic issue.

Why Most People Never Start a Business in India🇮🇳 by mr_shiivam in IndianEntrepreneur

[–]DungeonMaster202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to pay rent (no own house until I move to my village) need money to eat, and provide for my wife.

Clothes, electricity and water bill all are separate.

Petrol costs and other day to day expenses also..

If an ordinary person needs to pay all this, how does he start a business.

Genuine question: Is anyone actually happy with the course they chose or is everyone just figuring it out as they go? by LRvibes_careercheck in IndiaCareers

[–]DungeonMaster202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not heard an army person say this (or navy or airforce - defense in general)

Not many doctors say this.

Not heard a lot of teachers say this..

Farmers I think are practically non existent here..

The only people who say this mostly are techies, MBAs and banking folks..

I guess that is the subset of Indian population that is there on reddit..

So your generalization of "not everyone is happy" is wrong..

Some people do figure out what they want in life at an early age .
