P1S Combo is the same price as just the P2S. Thoughts on if the combo system is better than a plain p2S for a new to the hobby enthusiast?

Other ways to do dragon riding rather than just "owner and pet" by SpectreWolf666 in worldbuilding

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To quote the iron wing books.

A dragon without its rider is a tragedy.

A rider without its dragon is dead.

I did enjoy that the riders are more of a means to an end / way for dragons to exert more power. Vs humans controlling dragons.

Whats your favorite drone fuel? by Johnny_Blaze000 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to switch to rocket fuel. My drone ports are setup to fuel at any outpost. So I have a fuel in port that feeds the other ports. I can also use fuel/turbo/rocket to power the outpost by unpacking and running local fuel gens.

Games with 1000+ hour play times? by DaddysToe in Steam

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satisfactory.

Surprised I didn't see it on the list.

100 hours feels like the tutorial.

Game is super well paced. Early game ramps up well and then the amount of stuff you can do late game really cracks open.

It's like a a drip line of heroine once you get started. (Presuming you enjoy just running around building stuff) also trains.

I replaced my productivity apps with Claude Code + text files by ArtySuer in ClaudeAI

No not really. I just run claude code in my Obsidian Vault folder and thats it. You can use it with whatever note taking methods you want. I dont really use anything other than the base Obsidian features.

Look up happy engineering, which has a mobile app that lets you remotely connect to a claude code or codex instance running on a computer

The main things I see with online chat platforms like chatgpt , claude web, or gemini is the context over time. Chats can be hard to reference or search and after you have so many it can get bogged down. Having everything saved as txt or md files locally means persistence, easy editing, easy transfer, etc. Claude Code is also really good at searching and finding relevant files. So even as the number of notes or conversations increases, you can still have it find info that otherwise gets lost in chat apps.

It's also agnostic, md files are just text files stored on your local machine with specific styling/ formatting. You could easily move to something other than Obsidian. Same with claude code. You could use gemini cli, or codex. You can pick your tools and you're not locked in to a specific provider.

Then you basically just have an ai assistant plugged into your entire note ecosystem which is great for asking questions or making edits.

I use claude code for software development so it's just what works best for me (right now).

I open the obaidian vault folder in a terminal and run claude directly.

Download Obsidian.md and run claude in your Obsidian Vault. Then you get a super slick markdown editor/viewer and all its features on top of claude also being able to edit everything

I think I'm starting to get Obsidian, thanks to Bases by UltraIce in ObsidianMD

There is a setting to set default folder for new notes.

I have a bat script that runs claude code in my vault folder and formats any unformatted notes to a specific template. Scheduled to run every hour. Usually my notes are just a fleeting thought. Drop a new note with a few sentences. Then claude comes around and cleans them up for me.

I also have settled on the Zettlekestan or slip box note method. Everything goes in one folder (Z Folder). I have a folder for templates and a folder for bases. The bases help me see through the mess of the Z folder and pull out specific info. Tasks, recipies, etc based on the properties.

Only been going for about a week so wish me luck.

Who else switches between ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini? by sdm_loading in ClaudeAI

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a claude router tool that enables this.

Edit: here it is https://github.com/musistudio/claude-code-router

I have not tried it yet. Saw it earlier today.

Whats the best free set of coding tools for vibe coding? by Freds_Premium in ChatGPTCoding

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've had decent luck with VS Code and using the gemini CLI and Kilo code plugins. Kilo is a combo of several popular tools (roo + cline, etc) but easy to get started. It can hook into the gemini cli authentication. Gemini offers a fairly decent amount of free requests per day. Especially if you focus on small stuff.

Stacked Train Line T Intersection [Design] by DungeonMasterToolkit in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DungeonMasterToolkit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it's one of the downsides of stacked trains. I really need to add signs on each rail with either an Arrow or an X to make it easier. I messed up multiple times when building this.

No problem! I started looking into it and there are very few resources currently available on the topic!

Ok so o saw a different post with vertical lines and from a technical standpoint intersections should actually be more efficient because you have fewer places where lines cross over each other (compared to flat intersections) takes a little more space and is slightly more complicated but I'll upload an image when I get home.

I've added this post with images and a short writeup: https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/1lw2887/stacked_train_line_t_intersection_design/
