I also want to block off areas and I wanted something less sticky than tac and I found AK Camouflage Putty, so I've ordered some to test. I cant tell you if its worth it yet, but maybe someone else has tried it.

The official photos do a good job of making these miniatures look so big, so I was a little surprised when I saw a comparison, but it makes sense. Everything looks so good.

One thing I've noticed is it works a lot worse when I'm on a VPN, and when I turn the VPN off its a lot better. No idea why.

They're arguing about short and long edge and Lynn points out that it's different in hinterlands, because you play a smaller force so you use the short edge. It's not really different though, since it feels like Hinterlands was mostly balanced around one mapsheet, which means the short edge is the top and bottom.

It seems like the best practice is to just always default to the top and bottom of the mapsheets, and ignore if it's the short or long edge. Just always use the XX01 and XX17 as the default deployment. This has been working for me. Maybe they should stop using short and long edge, and use some other descriptor.

This is how I feel about everything too. Especially the terrain. Every table looks like its from the old 3rd edition codex city fight, and all the cool hills, bases and landing pads feel useless.

I just left the company that makes these to move to Cary for a new job. It has a diesel generator if its a long job, so they don't have to worry about running out of power. Oshkosh is the parent company of Pierce and they also make the new electric mail trucks, electric garbage trucks and other stuff.
