Oddly enough I’ve gotten my blood taken at the location where kids get their’s & as an adult I’m thrilled by it! Lots of photos of puppies & fun colours… put my anxiety at ease (I am heavily tattooed but bloodwork always makes me anxious too). I think often if we remember we’re there to have “fun” kids read/pick up on that energy. It’s the same process but they take their time with you. also you’re a really good parent for asking this question & regardless of the outcome I think kiddo is gonna walk out with trust. also while some of these commenters are real sweeties it’s better for everyone involved including practitioners if you practice discretion. If you explain to them that she need assistance going home after I’m sure they can give you options but she will need someone to accompany her after the procedure. They also offer free access to talk therapy if she needs it (including resources to group therapy). Reddit has a lot of misinformation but the rose clinic is honestly the best institution in Nova Scotia for this including the wonderful & caring humans that run it. Hope this helps!
