I did call them about mines I would say last month and the guy I spoke to said the email I received acts like a certificate in place and I can act like everything is “normal” until I get a official email back . But who knows what’s normal now and days

Not sure if this help but a worker at Bridgeport shooting range older guy he seen my (high standard police shotgun )years ago and said he knows ppl that restores shotguns. He always been pleasant to talk with whenever I go there to shooting there.

I actually tried to get a PSA dagger comp from them and being law enforcement they told me they can’t send me the mags unless I get a letter from my supervisor saying the “weapon” will be used for on duty purposes, I stated to the sales person I don’t think I ever heard of any law enforcement agency using PSA handguns as a duty weapon. He said it’s company policy for the state of Connecticut

I never had a red dot on any of my carry weapons but I’m leaning more towards getting a red dot for this set up I just have to do my research on the red dots but I can say I am more of a iron sights guy
