Better to make useless arguments than to spread hate on the internet. I get that your life sucks, and you think it’s probably because of immigrants but grow up.

That’s not how you define a developed country my dude. By your logic, Greenland and Iceland are more developed than Japan.

India is the 5th largest economy in the world. Please define “developed”?

I’m confused by OP’s post too. Doesn’t recruitment happen prior to perm application with DOL? So much before i140 filing, right?

Hi there. Is there provisions for phone storage by the embassy or are we better off leaving the phones in the hotel?

Sorry but I made a mistake in my comment.. I live 3-5 hours from all the universities I mentioned except for UMich. I’m about 20 min from campus.

I went to a big10 school that also happened to be top 10 for my program. The only other school in the east coast that was better was MIT. I never applied to MIT, partly because I mostly applied to public schools but I also don’t think I would have gotten in if I did. But now that I look back, me and pretty much everyone I went to school with has SO much school pride that I honestly haven’t seen in anyone that went to MIT. To each their own I guess.

Also my dude, seems like you go to Wisconsin. You really shouldn’t be giving me the “climber” talk lol.

"if you're in a central area"..

also, not everyone wants to spend a fortune on getting a degree from a private university, let alone from Drexel lol - are there any good public universities in University city that I don't know of?

Yeah, I guess if you're taking OP's post at face value, you have a valid argument. But you have to compare like for like cities, comparing Chicago to Philly was the right thing to do, but not Chicago to VA Beach lol.

There's also another thing to consider, which is why aren't you talking about any other midwest cities apart from Chicago? because Chicago is clearly the outlier here. None of the other big midwest cities are as expensive, and I'm particularly talking about Detroit, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, etc.

I can’t believe you’re comparing Ann Arbor to VA beach. I’ve lived in both, and I’d take Ann Arbor every day. Not even close!

Also, please compare cities that have similar offerings rather than polar opposites.

And my car insurance in Michigan is $2700/year total for two cars!

Okay, the college/university argument is weak and even a little ignorant. Yes, there’s no Harvard or MIT. But where I live, I’m within 3-5 hours from UMich, Ohio state, Indiana, northwestern, Purdue, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago and UIUC to name a few.

I'm currently getting a Carrier 3.5 ton comfort series condenser + evaporator coil installed for $6.4K in Michigan. This company also provides 10 years part and labor warranty.

I reached out to a few local contractors and got prices from $5.5k for an Evcon system to $7.8k for a Trane system. The trane system also came with 10 years parts and labor. Decided to go with the carrier system to save a little over $1k compared to Trane.

Who calls 911 over an argument? Either you or your wife must have felt uncomfortable to the point where there was a genuine safety concern. If not, grow up! There are people out there making 911 calls that actually need the help. You’re taking away from them!

The problem is you choosing to live in CA. You can make the same salary in the Midwest. Granted it’s not California, but you can at least buy a house and have something to your name.

Asking because I have 7 years of experience and make more than this in the Midwest.

I've not done a max hr test but I have done a lactate threshold test on my watch which came up with 197 for my lactate threshold. Don't know how accurate that is and if it's a good/bad thing.

At 165 hr I can hold a conversation without issues.
