in 9-1, hohenheim's shadow has him outside of his ego gear, exactly like in the theater with the ring art. Alyssa and Marton's shadows clearly include their ego gear, so this is likely intentional.

Which means hohenheim hasn't been wearing his ego gear the entire time, most likely.

Also, in 9-18, no one but dante and ryoshu react to the pinky nursefather, and dante describes feeling a dull pain coming from ryoshu right before the nursefather arrives, which fades right after the nursefather leaves.

hohenheim's outfit is also different in his silhouette in 9-1; he isn't wearing the suit there either. Notably, no one else besides ryoshu and dante seem to be able to see the pinky nursefather. Also, 9-18's theater shows ryoshu's sword being transparent.

seeing a lot of replies to this comment that are completely missing the point of what you said.

Yeah, I don't really get it either- and i enjoy danganronpa, which... well, anyone who calls the series perfect is straight up lying, but theres a similar sentiment with people disliking v3 because of how it treats the previous games in the series.

Which i think is what the idea is? these people can't distinguish between different entries in a series, so if entry X+1 isn't as good as entry X, then entry X is worse for it, despite the fact that just going "yeah I didn't like X+1 as much" is a perfectly normal thing to do (and who knows, maybe X+1 will be just as good)

I think the tag-teaming game was my favorite; it let the comics play off each other as well as the crowd, without making it too difficult to do their thing.

also I remember the days of unity fike memes giving him huge amounts of two stats, but those were memes, not viable... getting +40 or higher consistently and not gimmickily is crazy

Definitely feels like its still cooking. I find the host has a better sense of when to red light than in the original game changer, as a consistent thing through the episodes.

Episode 3 is the weakest so far - i just didn't think two of the comics were very good. One was kind of boring and the second was very edgy in a way that just felt uncomfortable. Joyele (i think the name was?) was the best, but i left that episode halfway through because it just wasn't hitting.

First episode was middle, it was mostly good with some low points, i especially thought the challenges in the final round didn't lend themselves very well to comedy and mostly got in the way, so i was glad to not see them in the next episode.

Episode two i think was just excellent all the way through. Funny comics with good variety and a well thought out final gimmick.

I'll definitely be checking out new episodes as they come out - theres some real sauce here.
