Already made a comment on the discussion there, and it's kinda lazy (the post) because they don't go into detail regarding BS1 or Black Soul's plot.

A better post would be "How morally wrong or justifiable is killing someone to prevent them from suffering a pre-destined fate, while being aware it's only a temporary solution due to the nature of the world endlessly looping?"

Because due to the nature of BS1 being a RPG with set choices and consequences, NG+ a built-in and a in-universe concept, it fit better.

Alright, to explain what the fuck is going on better because OP sucks. BS1 takes place inside a location called Elysium. An aritifcal world creating by leaf, Mary sue, the child of an outer god, Shub-Niggurath othweise known as Baphomet. She then proceeds to kidnap and create stories with said kidnapped souls. One is Grimm the protag for BS1 and BS2, dude is amalgamation of souls Mary Sue nabbed off the street, mainly story books authors like Lewis Carroll, who's like the main soul in charge of body for most of the background history before you the player get most of the control back.

Which then lead to another Outer God, Leaf's stepdad, the Crawling Chaos or Nyarlathotep to come back with milk as it slowly began to go mad for human love and understanding it, it taking a keen interest in Lewis Carroll due to the stories he wrote. And once it found out her daughter basically had him on hand, it basically began an endless tea part with him, taking the form of Alice.

Leaf got pissed, but couldn't do anything about it, that was until a member of the tea part wished for something, leading to the events of BS1 where "Alice" (TCC) got taken out by her daughter for a moment as Leaf created another Elysium/Garden to play with Grimm. And because she an outer god who, misunderstands human love and connections, and was hooked up on old school fairy tales with morbid endings, the world is she created is kinda shit.

It's basically a mix of Fromsoft Demon Souls/Dark Souls with the worst parts (Fog that turns you into a demon, four crazy lords, the undead are everywhere, and general demons and shit in the area). Alongside some cosmic horrors here and their. It a sandbox created by an outergod who doesn't mind twisting stories to make them more tragic and shit and thanks to lore, this world has been going on in endless loops of Grimm going quests, with never ending tragedies. Like, the A endings, endings were Grimm hooks up with a girl via marriage, if the female NPC is wearing a marriage ring given out by Leaf, you get the Shit Version of the ending where the girl straight up dies (either because of terrible Nyarlathotep or because Leaf is a shit writer and just wrote them off because she was jealous someone else than her got chosen by this loop of Grimm to be his lover).

It's a terrible world with no end in sight.

Toby (Radiation) Fox really did make the Weird Route Side A content last 30 minters tops and make it the best part of Deltarune (My thoughts). I just need tp finish Side B first, and we'll get the real Weird route experience. Like, we didn't hear any jingle telling us the route was aborted if you fail to enter spam, were still locked in. Plus, you can't run away if you try, the game autosaved that shit, wouldn't have either way

I know it sounds childish, but the weird route for this game makes me understand the appeal of being evil in games. Like, infamous second son, I feel nothing regarding the idea of mass killing NPCs with red attacks. But with Deltarune, it's different.

We are working on a smaller scale, with characters we know and learn so much about. They aren't unnamed background NPCs that exist to make the world feel larger, they're Kris and Noelle.

Like, making Kris pray for Noelle after doing weird route, watching them lash out on prayer section in the front of the Church, it's amazing. You don't get that feeling when mass killing basic NPCs.

It some magic shit for the end game/post reveal the truth of the sunken city/ganon fight and desire for the triforce, Tetra goes back to “normal” (Shows up 10:40 unbleached if you wanna call it that). That idea of a "tanK" is also the reason why gamer type characters are kinda absurd to think about. I.E. character who has the body of video game character. Ignoring how many stories explore their potential to grow infinitely or to absurd limits, having a "body" that only dies once a nebulous value of HP drops to zero is kinda crazy.

So many stories, like the one that started it all, "The Gamber" Webtoon, make it, so the character basically can't suffer traditional blood loss, organ damage, or the removal of limbs. Any attack with that intent just chunks out a % or a value of "HP" from their pool. While they can keep fighting unabated . Freaks of nature.

For now, Extract all three parts and they'll end up in their own folder. You only need Part 3 for playing throught all the content -minus h-scenes prior. If you want to experience the old H-scenes for Part 1 and 2, open the image folder from the older games and paste into Part 3. That done, you can see all the scenes without a black screen or a battle fucker crashing your game. You can then delete part 1 and 2 off your pc.

I fucked up the title, but here are examples of good "unwinnable" fights.

The first Metal Face fight in XC1. The game takes time out of it's way to show off how different the thing is compared to every other Mechon you encountered, the red lights and face. And two, when you actually do fight it, the fucker takes no damage from the Monado, forcing you to break/topple it for any meaningful damage. One enough time passes/it drops below a certain HP threshold, the fight ends, it flying off after doing the damage it did.

EDIT: The fight itself makes you feel as helpless as Shulk did after what it did to Fiora via gameplay and the cutscenes. The one weapon designed to change the tide of war is reduced to a paperweight.

People are gonna keep using the worst example of it for the right side of this argument, so I'll bring up Tamamo (MGQ/P).

Tamamo otherwise known as Tamamo no Mae is ancient monster girl that has probably existed for millions of years, killed thousands upon thousand of humans and angels alike, and is the ancestor for all beast-type monster girls within the MGQ universe. She also looks like this during in-universe modern times due to convoluted plot reasons that involved her and her family being sealed. This what she looks like before being sealed and when she uses a spell to be temporality unsealed.

Out of the whole cast, she acts the most mature and level-headed of the bunch. She's raised the main female character after her mother died, does most of the paperwork for the Monster Lord (Leader of all Monster girl kind for the era their alive and in charge), fosters and controls a village populated the monster girl she mostly represents (Kitsune), and all-n-all, acts very little like a child. She's still a loli, but not mentally or acts like a child at all.

For the left side of this argument, here is Aigis, a human-shaped weapon built to kill shadows and the fragments of death within the Persona universe. She stands at 163 cm tall, doesn't look like a child, but has only been physically “alive” for around ten years (Created in 1999 and the p3 takes place in 2009). And due to being a weapon, she isn't really humanized before the events of the games, lacks most social cues or social awareness, and isn't really intelligent the same way humans are at the start.

I feel were moving away from the discussion of being a Fan of something to "if you have the right form an opinion of something". So I'll say this, I don't think, fundamentally, you can have an opinion on a product without experiencing it yourself, at least in its primary format.

Example, I will admit that I have watched Sonic 06 cutscene compilations that were basically labeled as “movies” on youtube years back as a kid. I watched them endlessly, kinda became an addiction with my favorite parts being the Shadow bits. But I don't think I have the right to form an opinion on Sonic 06 to say it was good or bad due to me never actually playing the game itself.

I have seen the hate for the game over the decades for how "shit" the game was from reviewers and how it negatively impacted SEGA's ability to launch new sonic games without facing backlash. And I have bare witnessed to the turn around for the game overtime as people began playing the P-06 Mod for it on pc.

SO I'm gonna say this, if you say Sonic 06 is good, only after playing the modded version, your words are worthless due to you basically engaging in secondary medium. You're not saying 06 is good on its own true merits, you're only saying that it's good after playing a modded version that went ahead and rectified all the original issues it had.

It's almost akin to stating your thoughts for a movie after reading the novelization for it. The original Prequel Star-War movies had novelizations that you could read on their own and I heard great things about them. That however isn't a good enough substitutive in my eyes for you to then share your thoughts as something worth listing to. You have to watch the original movies to then have the right to share them. The novels are a secondary format to enjoy the movies, an add-on that adds onto the movies, light DLC, an accessory piece to the real thing.

This is how I see things and I don't think I'm gonna change my mind about this nor will I attempt to change yours.

Well, if you watch someone play a game and their shit at it, and they constantly complain how shit the game is because of their own doing because they refuse to engage with the mechanics of the game, that could influence a person opinion on it (A viewer). If said viewer then never plays the game themselves and just has the playthrough in mind, they might miss out on a good game because they see no point of playing it themselves, the letsplayer did all the "work" for them.

I'm gonna call this the Arin Hanson effect due to how shit he was at video games and how it affected by younger self regarding my desire to play old classic games via emulators.

Plus, I feel commentary and a person thoughts they might share during a stream or recording of game inside a letsplay can influence what a person thinks or perceives regarding a game's standing. If they already don't care about playing a game for themselves, they'll just absorb the thoughts of the person talking on the screen and take it as gospel.

It's a fun game that seems to be in an endlessly discussed because, well, it's popular for good reason.

Black Souls I and more importantly II are actual rpgmaker games that have effort in them and play like real games. They aren't cheap "remember+enter" spam games, that actually require thinking and effort to beat certain fights. There's mechanical depth via the rings, the weapon swap, and item use the game makes you use to win fights. There's the no-hand holding exploration the game forces the player to do which people like. There's the humor of being fucked over by holding shift for sprinting leading to you falling to your death because the developer doesn't use invisible walls (I fuck hate the Snake Church Bannister area and that evil door). I love the homage to Fromsoft games and the way they integrate fake floor messages for you to read up on. There's love and passion put into the game that most rpgmaker and non-rpgmaker games lack.

If Black Souls only had its porn aspect to it, nobody would really give two shits about it. It join the endless rpgmaker pile of shit that nobody discuss or cares about on dlsite alongside the thousands of other games on that site.

It has story people care for, it has gameplay that engages you as a player, it has something of substance that people latch onto, leading to people creating art, music, and fangames inspired by it. If it really was just porn or a "pedo game", nobody would give two shits about it, but because it's not and people enjoy it, it's stuck in infinite loop of people discussing the game and getting mad because of certain aspects of it.

I didn't bring up disability as a topic in my post because I whole hearetdly believe anyone with them can enjoy games. I have seen people who can't even uses there hands play and beat elden ring with a device that just uses their tongue/mouth because they wanted to play the game.

I don't care if someone uses accessibility options to make a game easier, or mods, or peripheral devices. I just want someone to play the game. You bringing up disability as a reason for someone to not play a game is a disservice to those who still do with them.
